We move to spain in November 2025 i contacted mariposa energy.
They have been nothing but helpful they have given me opportunity to sell back my excess energy from solar panels back to the grid. Happy with the deal we have,they have been really helpful especially the person that helped me on WhatsApp text

Pleased with the service we have had from Mariposa.
We are still waiting for the grant from the Valencian Government , now several years.

We had a great experience with Mariposa Energia, and Martin helped us perfectly from start to finish. We honestly have nothing to complain about.

The service felt very personal: Martin came by himself to explain everything clearly and take care of all the arrangements. No question was too much, and that really gave us a lot of confidence in the whole process.

The panels have just been installed and we’re already looking forward to a sunny year ahead. We truly appreciate their service, their understanding, and their solution-oriented way of thinking. Highly recommended!

Please avoid at all cost. The company didn’t do pre-installation research on what is required. It only connected half of the house - under the pretence that the distance to the main electricity board was too far - again this should have been agreed before signing. They are not taking responsibility for NOT connecting the meter to the Grid and for NOT registering the system - which of course means I have NOT cut my electricity costs in line with what was suggested on their selling presentation and am still using a lot of electricity from the Grid, despite the fact that my solar system produces more than I actually use but it all goes back to the Grid for which I get no re-imbursment as they didn’t register the system. All the complaints are falling on death ears - the CEO is simply not replying to any official complaints / emails - choosing to hide. Very poor technicians, poor service, poor communication - do NOT use them. They deserve to go bust.

Appalling company - avoid at all cost. Their customer service is atrocious and their products are very substandard. No aftercare. Disrespectful.

I was approached by this company under the pretence that I would pay a much cheaper rate than I was paying with a competitor, turned out to be a complete lie and I was paying double. I have since returned to my previous supplier and now just received a bill of 204,25 euros (a period which I ALREADY PAID) which is ridiculous. They've someone how inflated my consumption use which I don't understand how or when I could have consumed when I have already switched to another supplier. Worse experience ever. Avoid.

I had a great installation from Mariposa. Unfortunately in the heat of the summer I have been getting a lot of F02 errors which I am told is due to overheating. My system has now been set to use some solar and not batteries at all. The rest of the demand comes from the grid. I have been told no more support until the Autumn.

No question was too much. Lee answered all my queries. Informed at every point about anything I didn't understand. Advised as to what was a best fit for me and my pocket. All the details taken care of and the whole team at Mariposaenergia kept me advised of progress. The installation team were professional, clean, quick and worked like a well trained team. End result fitted in less than 5 hours and producing more than my needs during autumn in Spain!

I wrote a review under a pseudonym, Winston Smith. I am a genuine (very unhappy) customer of Mariposa Energy. From the detail I left on my review, they know full well who I am, unless of course I am one of a multitude of disgruntled customers. They have failed to contact me. UPDATE: I have had a message from Trust pilot in relation to my review. I have provided my name and telephone number. I will provide a further update if I am contacted by Mariposa Energy. FURTHER UPDATE: It is now 25th February. Mariposa Energy have not contacted me.

Once the installers had checked the roof they returned the following day and completed the installation that same day. They were professional and experienced in their work also nice guys.

I have found the customer service excellent, and the staff very willing to be helpful and explain when I didn´t understand all the issues around the changeover to greater self consumption.

Sergio provided us with a very good service from providing the quotes for the work to overseeing the installation. We are very satidfied with the product.
