Amazing manager Susan. Went out of her way to help me obtain items I needed in a short period of time. Super helpful when I went to pick the items up and was actually happy to help. Genuine person.
Thank you so much. Beyond appreciated!!
Don't trust them
Don't trust them! They will take your money and play games with delivery! THEN THEY WILL DELAY REFUNDS!
Quality is tanking in material and trying to get help locating items.
Like clarity of online info. But sad to see quality of materials going down hill. Also, tried to find someone on the floor rather than ask associate at cash where to find long sleeve T's that were tucked away in a corner. Cash person reprimanded me for approaching her as the customer she was checking out had left, but was coming back. Time wasted - could listen first and easily point without the long explanation and clear annoyance. Also, what's with the tiny print for prices?? Seems the intention has changed to warding off customers.
If there was a neg I'd give negotiate… the Abby stores don't respect customers what happ to returns or exchange with proof so I would not have anyone be treated like that
If there was a neg I'd give negotiate 100 the store does not respect customers bought paper work boots paid almost 200 and told them I needed size bigger to allow heavy socks and insoles and they sold me ones to small
The sizing is ridiculous
The sizing is ridiculous, what used to be a medium would now be an XS. Quality is just sad. I usually do most of my Christmas shopping there and I didn't buy a thing this year. I found the quality and sizing in both the womens and mens very disappointing.
Ok clothes but they gouge their prices…
Ok clothes but they gouge their prices during sales. Buyer beware.
I wanted to buy a pair of Sketcher's shoes
I wanted to buy a pair of Sketcher shoes from Marks Work Warehouse in Simcoe, Ontario. The online website showed that they had a pair in my size in stock in the Simcoe store. Went to the store to purchase the shoes and was told by the clerk that they don't stock these shoes at all. Went back home and attempted to order the shoes online and have them shipped to the Simcoe store. During the checkout process got a message that I can not pick them up in Simcoe but would have to pick them up in Brantford. Not going to happen as I am not driving 40 km to pick up shoes that the Simcoe store does not allow to be shipped to them. WTF is going on, guess they don't really want to sell anything as I have gone elsewhere.
If I could rate it a zero I would
If I could rate it a zero I would. I ordered online and they said I wouldn’t be charged for the time that ran out of stock but I have yet to hear back from them or receive a refund. Not impressed at all
Great sales help
Went to markswork warehouse looking for jeans and the salesclerk Mandy was extremely helpful. She lead me to all the bargains and found my perfect jeans. Thank you Mandy at Hillcrest Mall.
Will never shop there again
The company I work for gives clothing vouchers. I live in a remote area and Marks is one of the only stores I can use it in. We are given gift cards to purchase items, which previously worked online, this year, suddenly they don't. I had to go to the store and get them to order for me. Which took over a month to get to my location. These were needed items (steel toe work boots) and had I been able to order online myself would NOT have taken this long. When they arrived there was a security tag attached that our local store couldn't remove. Not their fault BUT they expected me to go to the other stores in the mall to see if one of these stores could do it. They could not so I ended up having to deal with it myself. Marks will not be getting my voucher next year and I've told everyone I work with how hard they are to deal with. Will never recommend this place.
Way way too expensive
Way way too expensive. Also the staff knows nothing about anything
Went to the 1 on trinity drive . Waste of time
Went to the 1 on trinity drive in moncton to buy new work boots....twice.. both time all the workers were standing around the front of the store having a great time. Ignoring every customer in the store .. that being said , I'll buy my boots elsewhere and never step foot in a marks again .
On August 31 around 5:40 pm
On August 31 around 5:40 pm, I saw a HELLY TECH jacket priced at $159 at the Mississauga Dixie location. When I went to the cashier to buy it, the cashier asked me to pay $300 including tax. I explained that the jacket was on sale and the price tag clearly showed $159.
She then called another manager, who insisted the price was $300. According to the law, I had the right to purchase the item for the price shown on the tag, but they refused to sell it to me. This is against consumer rights.
This is me being a bit petty… Staff was…
This is me being a bit petty… Staff was awesome prices were average… But after I spent $500 don’t you dare try and sell me a $.75 bag… Your cheapness is beyond comprehension
I visited one of your stores recently
I visited one of your stores recently. Attempted to use a Marks Gift Card given to me by my employer. The cashier was unable to process the payment with my card that had ample balance to cover my purchase. I was told to make the 18 kilometer trip to TRY again tomorrow. Do I need to inform my employer to use a DIFFERENT gift card company next time?
Online scam Mark's Work Warehouse sale
I made an online purchase for clothing with 90% off at a Mark's Work Warehouse door crasher sale on June 5, 2025. Looked very authentic. It was a scam. After entering my cc details, it said I would receive my confirmation shortly. When I didn't get a confirmation, I called my cc company almost immediately to stop payment. The charge had already gone through. Now I have to wait 30 days before I can try to get that charge refunded. Wondering why Mark's isn't on top of this?
Awesome experience
Went to Mark’s North Lethbridge store a couple of days ago to buy the hubby some shoes. We were helped by Nathan, who was excellent! He knew their products, how they fit, etc., and he went above and beyond to help us. He brought out different pairs of shoes to try and had excellent suggestions. Just can’t say enough about the great experience we had there.
I actually have 2 reviews
I actually have 2 reviews!
First, in-store experience is almost always a positive one, i love the products and staff is friendly and generally helpful. I would have to give it a solid 4 1/2.
The problem is when a unexpected problem or error occurs with an online order. I made a online purchase on April 28th, it was returned to the wearhouse bc of an error. No one contacted me to inform me of the error. When I tracked the package I realized it was "returned to sender" I then called customer service, tracked the package on the phone with the automated system and was told the package was on its way!? When I was finally able to speak with someone, I was told to wait for a Email and reimbursement. When I asked if she could simply correct the mistake and resend the package she replied no, I asked if I could go to a store and get the product or reimbursement there, the answer was no again. I had to wait for the reimbursement! Today, almost one month after the original purchase I still have not received any email or any reimbursement. I called back and was told the wearhouse has 30 days from the dy it received the package to give me a reimbursement, outrageous! No where on the website is it stated that the company will take 30 + days to reimburse an online purchase. I assure you if this was made clear to me, that the company does not have a reliable mechanism in place for errors in online purchases, I would have gone in-store to purchase. Unfortunately, I know this isn't a isolated case because I just read a very similar review on this site where the customer was told he had to wait 4 to 6 weeks to get his reimbursement after receiving the wrong item! Unacceptable... For this reason, I am giving them 1 star. If they can't give good and reliable customer care when it matters and in a timely matter, then they don't deserve more. After this experience, I will most likely never order from Mark's again and it may be a long time before I go back to a store as well.
Scott in customer service was amazing…
Scott in customer service was amazing as he helped me check out my order and gave me an instant credit based on the fact that the cart was not calculating the total amount correctly during a promotion.
Scott made me instantly feel that all will be good and he knew just what to do. He was friendly, positive and very helpful. You guys are lucky to have him.
BLOWN AWAY
I am so impressed by my recent shopping experiences at Marks, both on line and in store! I have always shopped their great clothing and enjoyed the choice and quality, but today, April 26th, Saturday, the sales assistant processed my returns and gave advice with amazing skill and attention to detail at the Goderich, ON store. I am so grateful and appreciate her help, wish I remembered her name as she deserves praise!
