Forming a mound of evergreen leaves topped with flowers in late winter and early spring, it looks beautiful in a pot or windowbox, or at the front of a bed. A good choice for light shade. If your soil is heavy mix in general-purpose compost , horticultural sand and stone or potting grit to ensure good drainage. Gently compact the soil around the plant and water thoroughly.
