Martia is the AI you talk to about your money. You connect your bank, and then you simply ask: "How much did I spend on food in March?", "Can I afford a €1,500 holiday?", "Where am I overpaying the most?" Martia answers in plain language, and every answer is backed by your real bank transactions, not generic tips from the internet. We believe you don't need to understand finance to be good with money. For too long, knowing where your own money goes has cost expertise, hours with receipts, or a quiet feeling of shame. Martia removes that price. What makes Martia different is what happens before the AI ever sees your data. Pasting a bank statement into a chatbot gives you confident, wrong answers, because AI is only as smart as the data it gets. Martia cleans your bank data first: internal transfers are reconciled, merchant names are normalised, currencies are aligned. That is why you can trust the answer. Bank connections run through Enable Banking, a regulated open banking provider, in read-only mode. We cannot move your money, and your bank password never reaches us. You can also import transactions from CSV. Martia is built in the EU, GDPR compliant, and you can delete all your data at any time. Martia works in eight languages: English, Polish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch. We are a small, bootstrapped team funded by our users, not by investors. The only thing we care about is that the answer is true. If Martia helped you, or if it didn't, tell us here. We read every review.

A new promising budget analysis and management app that works in the EU.

I found Martia when I looked for the European equivalent of the American budgeting app RocketMoney. The US app was recommended in the discussion group I was in, however when trying to use RocketMoney I soon realised that it can only connect to the American banks. Searching through Google I found out about Martia being the European equivalent. I got on the waiting list, and when the app went live, I signed up to use it.

The first impressions are positive, it was surprisingly easy to connect my banks, and the app had a guide inside with steps to take to learn the various functions. I felt adventurus and I used the "ask the AI" function as I do not have any data I feel sensitive about in my bank statements right now. However, I hope that the company will provide more information to the users in the future about how our data is protected when it travels to and back from the LLM (AI models) when the LLMs give answers and analysis about our money. This could help reassure us the users, at the moment I feel hesitant, as there have been various warnings about sending private data to AI. Maybe there are already some protective mechanisms under the hood, and I would like to know more about how the data protection works.

I hope that the app will succeed cause we never know with the startups, and they may do well or not, things change so suddenly these days. I have used a different, not finance related, AI-based app developed in Denmark for 2 years, and recently the company had folded, while other apps and companies keep growing. It seems to be a random lottery, and I hope that Martia wins this "success lottery" as it is a smooth useful app from my experience so far.

##The finance app I was looking for

I was looking for a good finance app, and this one really stood out to me. It’s simple, clear, and does a great job of bringing everything together in one place.

What I especially like is how easy it was to connect my accounts. The visuals also make it much easier to understand where my money is actually going.

I also really like that it’s being built by two young, ambitious guys who clearly put a lot of passion into what they’re doing. You can see the effort and attention to detail in the product.

For the first time, I actually have a clear picture of where my money is going. Really excited to see how this project develops!

No real competition

In my humble opinion, there is no other app on the market as comprehensive as this one. Simply revolutionary for my use case!

If you have a lot going on in your finances, this app is a real lifesaver. Connecting all my accounts was easy, and the clear visuals show exactly where my money goes.

I’m really rooting for this project!
