Completely lack of willing from their customer service. I purchased the annual plan, and then I asked them for the invoice with my tax details, and they said they could not help me with this because it goes against their law. And then, they told me to try to purchase again and add the tax details, but there is no place to do that, once you press sign up, they send you to a payment page and after the payment page goes directly to the platform

The Value Exceeded the price. The insight, Thoughts, ideas are Powerful for me and my Business. My brother Loves the Master Class more than I do. A win win MC. Thank You

Signed up for what I thought was a monthly subscription. Went to cancel and was told as it was just out of the 30 days cancellation window they would not stop the further payments until September 2025. I was missold and had no idea it was an annual plan. Very disappointing way of doing business for a company that presents itself as credible.

I am canceling when this subscription term is over. I wanted to change email addresses on my account. I couldn't do it online. Support emailed me and I replied with screen shots showing how it didn't work. They replied, "ok, we're done" and they hadn't fixed it yet. I sent them a video to show the problem and they replied over the weekend saying if they didn't hear in 24 hours the ticket would be closed but I should give them my credit card info and amount MasterClass charged me - I've been renewing for 10 years so WTF is that? (I have more emails but want to keep this short). This is the worst customer support and I do NOT recommend MasterClass. Too bad - I enjoyed the classes but their customer support will make you rue the day you were born.

BEWARE!!! Signed up but could not view class on IPhone or IPad without an internet connection. I use a hotspot so could never view. Then I couldn’t cancel the subscription. Once Masterclass has your credit card or debit card info, you can’t delete it or cancel the subscription so they keep charging you. Had to cancel my debit card and get a new one thanks to their scam practices. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!!!

If I could I would give zero stars.
Please be very careful if dealing with this company. There appears to be something inappropriate about how this company operates. A few personal points from my experience:
1. This company has taken 288GBP from my account without consent
2. I put this into query with my bank and Masterclass over 6 weeks ago - as yet the money has not been refunded
3. I have received a few aggressive messages from this company which has resulted in me having to block this company from my social media account
I have tonight e mailed again to this company to kindly again request the refund of money that was not consented to be taken nor was any prior communication issued before taking this money from my account.

Company is exceedingly greedy and very unhelpful. It’s like a gym membership. Your intentions will be good. But you won’t use it. And on principle don’t subscribe. They treated me very badly. I was ill and so was my elderly mother. They could see i’d never logged in. It was a present for my 60th and all I asked for was an extension to enable me to use it now I’m better and mum is more settled. But they wouldn’t. They don’t even talk to you properly. They send barely relevant automated responses. Shame on this company.
I’VE READ THEIR INADEQUATE RESPONSE. IT’S TRULY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET ANY KIND OF RESOLUTION. THEY’RE GREEDY AND THEY WORK TO SCRIPT. AND THE SCRIPT IS ‘TAKE THEIR MONEY, TRY TO THEN SUBSCRIBING BUT GIVE THE ABSOLUTE MINIMUM IN RETURN’

Given as a gift through an email with link and the promise of a 14 day trial. Followed link, decided I didn't want it and so asked for refund. Told no refund because I had used the link! How am I meant to try before I buy. It seemed like I could get everything on YouTube anyway

Beware of MasterClass. A year after my initial subscription, they automatically renewed my annual membership without my authorization. The courses themselves don’t teach much – they seem more focused on showcasing the instructors rather than providing real educational value. While a few lessons were helpful, it’s definitely not worth the money. When I discovered the unauthorized charge and requested a cancellation, they refused. So, be cautious.

The content is very nice.
Received a reminder mail a while before renewing, so far so good.
Wanted to cancel due to not using the service not much anymore. I press cancel, get redirected to another page stating that there are X days left in the subscription, looking like it will indeed be cancelled.
However when the subscription date passes I get a message I am charged for another full year. I go back to my account page it says I'm still subscribed and it will renew again next year.
I try cancelling again, same thing, looks like it cancelled, but when looking back at the profile nothing is cancelled.
Probably a bug and maybe not malicious intent, hower when contacting the support and not receiving any reply and seeing other people are having similar issues this is really unacceptable.
If I don't get a reaction soon I'll probably have no other option than to contact MasterCard for a dispute since there is no other option.
Edit: turns out in the desktop browser you can actually cancel, just that you first go back to another page and then have to right box on a completely different page...

Won't let me cancel and they keep trying to take the money, the only way I can stop them is by keeping the card I've got registered with them empty, would not recommend. They've tried to take the money 3 times now even though Ive tried to cancel everyday for a week.

Charged me for a renewal after a deceptive cancellation page. Didn't actually cancel my subscription and then they charged me $360 without warning or reminder email. Would never recommend this unethical company.

I signed up for MasterClass but ended up unsubscribing because the platform didn’t meet my expectations. I stopped using the service completely, which can be verified from my account activity.
Despite unsubscribing, I was charged over $200 the following year without my authorization. This caused a lot of trouble, including having to contact my bank and ultimately canceling my credit card due to the unauthorized charge. This left me without a card, adding to the inconvenience.
I reached out via numerous emails but received no response. The only time I was able to resolve the issue was through the website’s chat support, where I had to take a very firm tone because I was still being forced into a subscription I neither wanted nor used.
Overall, this experience has been incredibly frustrating. I haven’t had such a bad customer service experience in a long time, and it left me with a very negative impression of the company. Based on my experience, I would not recommend MasterClass to anyone considering signing up.

Could they make unsubscribing any harder?! I should have cancelled two years ago but I guess they made it just as difficult that one inevitably gives up all efforts. Terrible company

From my personal (and very current) experience, I cannot understand why people are being hard on masterclass. I like the look and feel of the contents very much, this is top notch.
If you expect tutorials for everyday learning, you might be in the wrong place, masterclass is more about inspiration and insights from the biggest in arts and other areas of life.
I, personally, just made an excellent experience with customer service, who helped me instantly on a refunding issue that they were not obliged to do.
I truly believe there are people in this company that work with a mission - and that mission is NOT to maximize money, this is the very experience I made. Big recommendation, if you like what you see in the previews you are being offered something special with a special conviction here.

So - I clicked on a link to try MasterClass for a month. However, it deducted an *entire year's worth* of charges from my PayPal account. The MasterClass website states you can request a refund in full during the first 30 days. But apparently since I signed up on my iPad I actually have to request that thru the Apple Store *while on my device.* This is the height of misleading advertising. I intend to cancel my subscription and want a full refund because of the above harmful and misleading business practice, but also because there are very few classes in my area of interest, which is ballet and wellness, and there certainly is not enough content there to be worth an entire year's charges. The actual class I wanted to take that was advertised in the original link I clicked on apparently costs an *extra* 10 dollars a month on top of what they already took out of my account!!! This is a classic bait and switch tactic. Very very upset about all of this. There's not even a link on the website that I can find to put in a complaint. Horrible.

I recently purchased a premium subscription because I wanted to sharpen my skills in various business areas. However, I was surprised to encounter overwhelmingly “woke” messaging throughout the entire platform. While it’s important to hear stories about discrimination against black people and women in business and sports, and to see how figures like Bob Iger became emblematic of Disney’s “Wokeism,” this was not what I signed up for. I subscribed to gain expert perspectives on business strategy, entrepreneurship, and marketing—not to be lectured about politics. It’s disappointing because the platform could have been outstanding if it had avoided political narratives outside of explicitly political classes. I hope Masterclass takes this feedback into account. From reading other reviews, it seems I’m not alone in my feelings. I just wanted to elevate my skill set, and this platform doesn’t seem welcoming to anyone outside of the “woke” narratives. I honestly don’t get why they’re looking to alienate half of their potential audience. I’m considering canceling my subscription.

Searched for something on Google and promptly started getting spam from these clowns.
Yes, I unsubscribed but any company that thinks the average Joe (me) would simply give them business because they sent junkmail.... think again.

7 day free trail is a spam
I signed up for 7 day trial and canceled the same day since i dont like the concerns . It makes you place a credit card in order to sign up but states it only charges after 7 days. It says free of charge for 7 free trail but still they changed me $190.80 . This site is super tricky . Pls stay away !!!

Another woke company. After signing up, I found their Communist DEI policies on their website. I cancelled the subscription and got a refund. Your line of business is providing educational classes, MasterClass, not disenfranchising peoples' votes by wielding corporate power for politics or public policy. I never voted for DEI. Go woke, go broke, MasterClass.
You response shows that you are autocratic and that your view and power supercedes that of the votes of the American people. You're on the boycott list, MC. It's coming.
