I recently attended the Thriving In Leadership programme online. A few years ago, I attended the WoC Leadership programme in London. Both trainings were foundational to working on improving self awareness and authentic leadership presence. I thoroughly enjoyed the tailored coaching sessions and progression plan with Dorinda.

It was a beautiful day, supported by thoughtful facilitation and space to learn, reflect and be myself. Thank you for creating this event and for giving the gift of yourself.

Dorinda provided an excellent, well thought out virtual session on mastering awareness to our organisation. The impact of the session has reached colleagues from under represented groups and allies giving everyone involved food for thought and some key take aways. I would highly recommend her as a key note speaker, guest panelist or trainer for future sessions.

I knew that I would enjoy the weekend but Mastering Awareness retreat excelled in every way. The venue, hospitality and customer service at the hotel for the retreat was exceptional. Meeting everyone, learning from others, reflecting on my own journey to sustainable leadership and resilience was humbling.

I have previously attended a Women of Colour in Leadership event and a retreat. Both were very enlightening and enjoyable. Dorinda is a great presenter and able to pin point issues and facilitate discussion. Both events were well organised and well attended. I met some amazing women. I look forward to the next event!

I attended women of Colour workshops (one session was virtual and the other was in person). It gave me a chance to pause, reflect and consider a different perspective for my career path. I met other talented and inspiring ladies to connect and learn. I learned about personal branding, tools to understand my mission, values and skills. The 2 day course encouraged me to pursue launching my own business so I'm grateful for this experience 🙏🏽

Dorinda is a very inspirational and insightful trainer. The WoC in Leadership programmes provide participants with a safe space to reflect on a deep level. These programmes are on a different level provoking a greater sense of positive self awareness. As a result of these programmes I have the tools to improve on my leadership skills to lead and empower others. If you are a Woman of Colour in positions of leadership I highly recommend you attend these programmes.

I've attended a couple courses by Mastering Awareness Ltd and they have been inspiring and informative events. The Women of Colour in Leadership Retreat was a highlight for me. A really well-thought-out programme with a balance of education and wellness. Dorinda is adept at making everyone feel welcome and is authentic in her approach. We had a lovely group for the retreat, I think in part because of Dorinda's energy, we all felt comfortable and at ease very quickly. The sessions were also really useful and she and her team came up with some creative ways to prolong the learnings from the weekend.

I joined a cohort of a group of ladies within my organisation with whom I had never met before. We quickly became friends and Dorinda took us on a journey of awareness and self discovery. We were set pieces of work where we would get together to understand our purpose, goals and also our areas of vulnerability. At the end of the course we had all become more focussed and understood more about ourselves and direction we wanted to go into. We more empowered to make decisions about our career and put ourselves forward to do tasks outside our comfort zone.

Dorinda has created a unique gift in bringing together women of colour (WOC) taking them on a journey that allows them to reflect on the challenges of WOC. Hearing these lived experiences is what makes us stronger, my cohort were truly inspiring, and we lifted each other.

I was fortunate to go on Day 1 and the Day 2 of the WOC programme. Day 1 allowed us to master our awareness and our authenticity as Leaders and how we build our personal brand. Day 2 allowed for reflections and to develop that strategic plan and effectively use our networks.

It is Dorinda’s style and personal authenticity that brings this programme together like no other. She shares her personal journey and creates space in the room for others to share and how to learn from these lived experiences and feel empowered to take that next step, whether that be a challenge, overcoming a barrier or that next role.

I will end on a quote from Serena Williams, which has been adapted. “The success of every woman should be the inspiration to another. We should raise each other up. Make sure you’re very courageous: be strong, be extremely kind”.
