I bought Mystery of the Magic Pencil for my daughter’s 9th birthday party. The girls dressed up in their favorite dresses and we had a tea party. The mystery packet was easy to print and to follow. The girls loved every minute of it! Their favorite part was the questioning and accusations. It took us about 75 minutes to complete. I would recommend this particular game for ages 9-12. Customer service is great too!

Nine of us singles agreed to meet on Boxing Day to cheer us up as we were having a lonely Christmas so we decided on a 1920 murder mystery party and dressed up. We laughed a lot but took it seriously and were very impressed with the instructions. It made our Christmas!

Excellent game! We played the Christmas murder mystery as a group of 14 and everybody loved it. We all came dressed as our characters and it was a good laugh! Would highly recommend

We held a mystery murder for our Xmas lunch this year & it was a hit! Everyone got super involved as the game was really easy to work through. Gave great instructions from characters to easy layout & was so much fun. We will definitely do this again.

The idea of the game was good but the game itself wasn’t executed well. Besides the grammatical and spelling errors, the navigation of the site did not work well, there were misleading hints (stating clues about the answer being numbers when the answers were letters and vice versa) and some of the puzzles required us to visit another website (which was not notified to us in the purchase so kinda sketchy).

Purchased one of the "Murder Mystery" evening kits. We invited 14 of our closest friends and re-created a 1920's dining car in our living room. Everyone was assigned a character and all came in costume and in character. We had a great time but no one was able to guess who the murderer was. Lot's of fun stepping into a different time zone and losing yourself in the mystery of a fantasy murder.

These games are fabulous. We have done the 1980's one and the Harry Potter one. Loved both. They are clean so the whole family can play and easy to use. It's going to be a yearly tradition to do a murder mystery dinner at our house for sure!

I have played three Masters of Mystery games: 1920's, 1980's, and Christmas Murder Mashup. Me and my guests had so much fun with all of them! As long as you read through all of the host guide before you play, it's very easy. The characters and scripts are funny, and dressing up is always a great time. 10/10 recommend.

I ran the Masquerade Murder Mystery game kit and it was such a blast! Everyone had so much fun dressing up and playing the characters and figuring out who did it in the end. It was easy to understand and set up. It is also replayable as the culprit is different every time you run the game. Playing the characters is great for those who are not as outgoing because you can simply follow the script without worry and even those who want to act more can improv things in and memorize it if they’d like. They also provide assistance with ideas for decorations, costumes, food, and even the music for the event so you aren’t going in cold. There is a lot you can do with the kit and it doesn’t tie you down so I can safely say I’d recommend it!

The product was easy to use. It was just open and go for our homeschool halloween party. The scripts were funny and we had a lot of fun.

It was a really nice mystery. The plot was great and you have all the material and instructions. It was great and easy to host and great fun.

The game is cleverly put together and well thought out.

Being part of a criminology master's program, we try to find things to bring the cohort together that aren't just essays and exams. This past Halloween, we played the mystery game of having to find Frankenstein's brain. There were so many twists and turns, but overall the entire cohort had a great time. This company was very responsive in sending out a correction to one of the game pieces to which was great. If you are looking for a game to bring together a large group of people or even just a couple of people, these mystery games are perfect.

The game was easy to download and follow. I especially liked that I was able to be involved in the mystery of the game even though I had printed and organized all the resources. The questions and rumours section was particularly entertaining, as was the costume aspect. The character guide and suggested attire helped the guests to feel confident when participating.

As a group we throughly enjoyed the 1920s theme and would definitely take part in another game.

I purchased a murder mystery wine tasting game. The game is digital, so you download it, there are scenarios for players, script for the host, clues and audio files. So you can send the scripts to participants easy. I printed mine however it was easier. It took 2-3 hours, we followed the decore, dress up suggestions, got wine and cheese to follow the theme and it was very fun. Ran it at work, perfect for a work social, everyone is getting involved and you can be as much as you want in character.
I did find it hard to guess who did it, only one person got it right, so dont have too much wine

We had a fabulous night hosting a Masters of Mystery , murder mystery evening. The whole game was sent via email and downloaded on to my iPad. The host guide was easy to follow and gave step by step instructions on how to prepare for the evening. The character guides included costume ideas and there were many characters to choose from. We hosted the game for 11 people and everyone commented on how easy it was to play the game and how enjoyable the evening had been. If you want a cheap night in with a lot of laughs and great entertainment I would highly recommend you visit the Masters of Mystery website!!

We tried Masters of Mystery for a halloween party. Everyone enjoyed it so much that it has now become a halloween tradition. We enjoy all the characters and the game is easy to follow for everyone. They have so many options, so it's easy to find something new to play each year.
