despite their "no censorship / WE'RE FREE" policy claimed loudly, they will remove your account without a warning... only because someone reports my posts which are just ironical or funny memes. BUT they let a flood of insults get through, of course. These companies' behaviour is completely unacceptable. Worth mentioning again Martino de Falco from naples, italy, who keeps stalking me and thinks he can get away with that... ;)

Our experts are loving 🥰 it so far. Best damn social medium jumping off point EVAR. Better than Google+ back in the day. Fakebook is still lame even today. X is at least an improvement upon Twitter. But Mastodon that new 🆕 shit, that real shit 💩 It is our next gr8 hope.

I hadn't heard of Mastodon Social until the JetPack social media sharing plugin suggested it for sharing my Wordpress Blog posts. JetPack features other social media sites for sharing, which I use successfully. I registered my profile and linked it to my Wordpress blog via JetPack. After a couple of posts, I then noticed that my account was suspended. They didn't even bother emailing me, so I could assist them with answering any questions. If sharing blog posts is a crime, then why do they include themselves on the JetPack app?

Hard to find anything intresting. Unusefull posts, like look at my fridge, at my dog, etc or politics. Nothing to learn from here or benefit. Reading there is like eating poop or spam with your soul. Political bias. Found only poor knowledge unentertaining posts.

signed up for a mastodon social media account awhile back and noticed how woke it was immediately so i left it till yesterday and uploaded some ai content yesterday which was all deleted today..... any platform that excludes or censors is really anti free speech. my uploads were cartoons , pathetic !

Terrible company. They will close your account on a whim without a credible reason. A friend of mine was promoting their Ai artwork and they suspended their account saying it wasn’t correctly attributed “Content created by others must be attributed, and use of generative AI must be disclosed” - even though it clearly had an #aiart hashtag on every single post. Also, the algorithm is terrible and you’ll be lucky if anything is seen outside of your followers. Move to Bluesky - that’s the place to be now.

Horrible social media platform. They banned my account as a spam because i posted a motivational quote with a url on it. Very strict policy. Mastodon has nothing to do with the freedom of speech on the web!

Their report system does not work. Tried to report kiddie porn several times. No luck. They don´t want to listen or don´t want to do anything about it

Nice, easy experience to set up, I use this for tracking new research findings, something which I used to do on X (former Twitter) before it became the app it is today. Still need to follow more people though 😬

Been using Mastodon for a year and it's been a pleasant experience. You can join general servers or ones more focused on your interests, hobbies, etc and can interact with users from other servers. Definitely one of the best Twitter/X alternatives.

However, creating an account can be a daunting task for the average person, so it docks some points for me.

Can’t create account on there. Therefore I did not bother using it.
