Do not waste your time in trying to book with Matcar Rental, they discriminate (I have proof via Whatsapp). We have our valid (South African) driver's license AND IDP (International Driver's Permit) and they still say they will not accept us renting a car. Three other Turkish car rental companies have confirmed acceptance of our license plus IDP, it's ONLY Matcar Rental that does not. They aren't even willing to assist us with a few other questions we had. They are listed as a Turkish Car Rental company on Carflexi, Discovercars and Economy Bookings. I would advise these companies to remove this car rental company, due to discrimination.

Worst car company. They sell you insurance regardless of if you purchase insurance already. No one can speak a word of English.
Stay away from this company.

Good company, everything is ok.

I had a great experience with Matcar. I took car from their Sabiha Gokcen airport branch. Car was new . I returned it in 4 days. Returning the car wasnt problematic, yet i had to w8 for my tokens to get updated . Overall i would re rent it once back in turkey

I recently rented a car at Istanbul Airport (IST) from December 30, 2024, to January 10, 2025, and had a great experience. The booking process was smooth, and the staff, especially Tugba, was professional, friendly, and very helpful. The car was in excellent condition, clean, and well-maintained, making our travels around Istanbul and its surroundings comfortable and hassle-free. Picking up and returning the car was quick and efficient, which saved us valuable time. Tugba’s assistance made the whole process even more pleasant. Overall, it was a seamless and positive experience, and I would highly recommend renting a car from this location to explore Istanbul at your own pace.

I needed a car rental service that was not asking for a credit card or any deposit.
I found both options available at these guys.

I payed in advance and they gave me a practically new car, right on the agreed time and place.

I can never ask for a simpler, good and fairly priced service.

Had a great experience of car hire for 2 weeks from Izmir airport, better car than expected. Communication great for pickup/drop off. No deposit! Empty to empty full, and made sure I had fuel for my journey by taking me to petrol station

Very nice service about pick up and renting a car.

Easy pick up without credit card. The car was clean and nice to drive and it was also easy to return the car. I accidentally drove through a toll road but it was all automatic with the car, so the gate just opened and I paid the toll when returning the car.

I was satisfied, there were no problems, the staff TUGBA was great！

From start till the end has a great experience even though I arrived early they were quick to pick me up and return was smooth as well will definitely recommend
