Nearly 3 years ago, I took the beginner's course for blacksmithing with Mike Mathewson as the instructor. At the conclusion of his course, I inquired about his forge and eventually purchased the double burner Swordsmith Forge.
I have been using it over the past 2+ years with moderate use and in the past few months, the refractory concrete began to spall.
I reached out to Mike to see which brand of product he used so that I could purchase some more in order to repair the forge. He told me which product he uses and without asking, he sent some to me.
When I purchased this forge, there was no warranty, nor did I expect one. The fact that he quickly sent me the cement to make the repair after nearly 3 years of use says a lot about him and his company.
I have been pleased with the forge and look forward to working with Mathewson Metals again when I become more advanced in the craft.

Awesome little forge for 220$. Gets up to temp decently quick it holds it well. Very fuel efficient. Mathewson Metals does good work.

They do not pick up phone calls, return messages or respond to emails.

I haven’t received anything about my order or the tracking information. I have the PayPal email and the money is out of my account and that’s it. And I made my purchase last week.

although explained by stating response time and shipping was slow due to covid situation, could have headed all that off by being up front with it at the beginning. items I purchased were well made and work well.

I still haven't received my purchase. The shipping response is terrible. They dont follow there own policies that are on there web site. Website says if order over the weekend your product will ship that next tuesday. Its Saturday and it is still at there facility and was just labeled yesterday. So not very happy about that , but im sure the product will be great if i ever get.

Well, been two weeks since i ordered. Still hasnt been recieved by usps. If your in a hurry this might not be a good option. Im sure the product will be great whenever it gets here.

I ordered and received a really nice quality burner. I can't wait to turn it into my first gas forge.. Shipping was slow, but I ordered during all of the COVID-19 mess, so I expected that.

Burner works amazing. Got it today and started using right away. Definitely recommend ordering one if you need it. Customer service side needs work. The shipping details mentioned on web sight are incorrect. My order shipped 6 days late. They don't respond to emails asking if order had been shipped. Took 3 phone calls, with a message left before someone answered phone.
