Many people found the user experience to be frustrating and tedious, often describing it as a chore that causes stress and anxiety. A blessing from the heavens themselves

PERFECT, IN EVERY WAY! I count down to my Sparx Homework every week and greatly value the Sparx drop and satisfying questions with the green 100% completion on my homepage brightening my day like sun shining through the foliage of learning overhead.

Ass learning platform.

I've never been on here, but my siblings have. After taking a look i just realized that its one of the most garbage "learning" platforms on this planet. it's rather holding your learning hostage. Please ban it.

Sparx maths is TRASH 🗑 😒

Sparx maths is TRASH 🗑 😒
Like most of the questions on there I haven't even learned at my school! Also the bookwork checks... They think you can just memorize every question from the 7 parts of it . Mind you each part has like 5 - 8 questions . And if u couldn't answer ONE QUESTION you get a detention. Like make that make sense...

Sparx Maths IS TRASH

I hate sparx maths for the following reasons:
1: bookwork check some people dont even have notebooks and others have mental problems who cannot multitask.2: multi subject learning why are we expected to struggle more because we cant do certain areas does not mean repeat them over and over also the fact that a question can be a lot harder like being 1 off a answer because that it needs you to get everything write like 99% = 0% to them and compulsary hmework wants complet is the bare minimum. it is just overly boring no one likes it it feels like you are forced it is horrid it needs to be removed

sparx maths not tuff

All bad things about sparx maths = number 1 t’s lowkey repetitive — same type of questions over and over till your brain goes numb number 2 Takes forever to finish, like why is one assignment a whole side quest?? number 3 The whole “compulsory bookwork checks” thing feels kinda nitpicky. number 4 If you get stuck, it doesn’t always explain stuff in a way that actually helps. number 5 Low margin for mistakes — mess up once and suddenly you’re redoing half the task 😭 number 6 Feels more like grinding XP than actually learning maths sometimes. number 7 The videos can be dry… like, where’s the personality?? number 8 No flexibility — you have to do it their way or it just won’t count. number 9 Deadlines hit like a truck if you procrastinate even a little number 10 Kinda kills motivation — turns maths into a chore instead of something interesting.

Sparx is ruining my school career

Sparx is absolute rubbish, this terrible homework has caused me so much stress because of how useless the videos are, Im amazed how so many schools use this terrible homework website. When I get a question wrong i cant move on, the videos dont help either because it’s never the same question Im desperately trying to answer to not get a detention. If you miss just one question on this useless website you will fail the homework and get a detention. My school uses this and it is utter rubbish, this useless platform teaches me nothing and should not be used in schools.

SPARX MATHS is makeing maths UNBEARABLE

I will say im not a very stressed person but doing sparx maths has brought me to tears on meny occasions. It doesn't allow you to move on from a question so you end up in a endless loop. The bookwork checks make the maths homework impossible to do on the go. I have never hated maths more.

Just take it down man💔

Honestly its so incredibly shit. You have do do so much questions and im so happy my math teachers dont care about bookwork checks because whats the point everyone who has sparxs homework just use AI because they cant be bothered to do such bad homework. I have not done my sparx in weeks because i would rather face punishment than do this all it does is makes children miserable and hate maths just take it down at this point because its just disappointing

Bookwork checks are horrendous

Bookwork checks are horrendous, and their website doesn't even show the Trustpilot score because they know that they are bad. You have to have 100 per cent completion, and if you don't, then detention. It punishes bad people by not giving them answers, and good people by giving harder questions that even parents would struggle with.

Sparx is no good for you, whether you're a student, a teacher, a parent or a carer

This is so bad I want to give you a zero but that’s not possible so I give you a one. The major problems are this:
.The bookwork checks
.The need for 100% completion
.The overall demand and stress laid on you to do the work
Let's dissect these issues one by one. First of all, and one of the most egregious issues, the bookwork checks. Now, quite frankly, there is no way of defending this feature. It is not asking you to check the work you have done in your book, no, what it's asking is that you go back and recite the answer to the site. What does this do? Be incentive for people to write down answers? Well what's the point? In any circumstance in maths, you do not need to memorise answers to questions. Maybe you could say it stops people from using calculators for questions they shouldn't but you can usually get most calculators to relay answers to you. They're not even smart ways to revise because nobody is looking through how they got to the answer, they're simply looking for the answer. They just bloat every homework you do.

Next, the mandatory 100% completion on every homework. How many people do you know get 100% on everything? It's demanding perfection from students, some of whom likely cannot manage. And branding anyone who doesn't comply as LATE is ridiculous because quite frankly, they have had a go! But Sparx doesn't care if you've had a go and can't complete something, no, they just tell you to ask your teacher about it before the homework is due if you fail it oh so many times. You do also have the option to swap a question with an easier one. Three times. On homework that I have seen in the past go up to 10 sections. In sections that I have seen have 10 (and potentially more than that) questions. You can switch for an easier question, thrice.

That leads nicely into my point of the demand and stress over the site. The site demands perfection for you to complete a homework so your teachers demand perfection. Don't ascertain perfection? Then, depending on what your school is like, you can be punished. Same with parents and carers. The site demands perfection so they demand perfection and if you can't get perfection then, again depending on your parents and carers, it's punishment time for you. What does all this cause? Stress. Stress to do the homework, to get it perfect, to get 100%, to not get in trouble from either your parents or your teachers or, if you fail, stress because you are in trouble and with all that, Sparx Maths takes on the proportions of Sisyphus' rock.

Overall, Sparx Maths does not work as a tool for revision, nor for a reputable homework site; it simply acts as a burden on yourself and the ones you must do the homework for. I can hazard the guess that the same goes for any other Sparx products.Sparx needs to improve itself immediately if it doesn't want to risk becoming obsolete in potentially even just a few years time.

One star

One star. Spark Maths is frustrating to use and doesn’t explain things clearly. The questions often feel confusing rather than helpful and it’s hard to actually learn from mistakes It ends up feeling more like guessing than actual maths practice.

This is utter bolocks, it makes the student complete 100 percentage of the questions write and it takes hours glitches all the times and the videos they provide to you are nothing to do with what your doing, on there website they say there trusted by many schools but show no acknowledgement of there trust pilot reviews it’s crazy and I’ve had many break down from not getting a question and it’s not even helping me. It’s utter crap

In the spirit of this being a maths website, I feel I should be able to give it negative stars.

Foul, vile, despicable, malevolent, veneficial - all words I would use to describe this platform.
You're forced to get 100% to complete homework, even though making mistakes is an integral part of learning.
And yet if you get a question wrong 3 times in a row you are given a different question because clearly, if you've made three attempts, you have no hope of getting it right on your fourth try.
Not to mention the bookwork feature - which you cant toggle off, even on non-homework tasks, and so completely negates the point of using an online maths website.
If you are an educator considering this for your school, consider alternatives.
If you are a student considering actually doing the homework your teacher has set you on this, consider therapy and/or moving schools.

Sparx maths is annoying

The whole platform is a nightmare because the videos are absolutely useless because the narrators sound like they have never slept in their entire life and the questions reset after multiple attempts of trying and then getting them wrong because apparently mistakes aren't part of learning anymore and if you get 99% the platform deems the homework incomplete because of one wring question but I personally don't have the book work checks but by far the most annoying thing about this platform is the 100% completion rubbish, the resetting questions and the videos with narrators that sound like their nose is permanently blocked up
