Extremely helpful presales and fast delivery
When looking for a desk chair mat, I needed one that was suitable to sit on a thick carpet and found a Cleartex Ultimat Chair Mat for Deep Pile Carpets advertised at Mat Stores. The only problem being that the spec. for the mat said to allow for a manufacturer’s production tolerance of +/-5%.
This meant the 120 x 134 cm mat I was looking to buy could be anything between 114 cm and 126 cm on its shortest edge! As the mat needed to fit between my desk’s legs, I queried this possible +/-6 cm difference in size by email at 6:30 pm on Sunday 02 July. I received a reply that eased my fears at 2:00 pm on the 3rd.
On this basis, I placed my order that afternoon and DHL delivered the mat just after lunch on 05 July. (It’s worth noting this is Mat Stores’ standard free delivery service.)
As to the mat, it’s doing splendid service, and I can’t fault it in the brief time I’ve wheeled my chair on it. Providing it goes on to prove durable, I will be incredibly happy with this purchase.
So, a high-quality product at a fair price and just two days from order to delivery – outstanding service from a company I’ll have no hesitation in recommending.

We found the chosen courier
We found the chosen courier, DHL, to be frustratingly useless in finding our new-build address despite guidance on directions being provided.
Trying to contact Matstores by phone was nightmarish: could not get through, music was aggressive and no call back.
Product seems ok so far although a little softer than expected.

Cleats too small, mat walks on plush new carpet!

The grippers on the underside of the chair mat have been designed to a specific length to keep the mat in place without causing damage to carpets. If they are any longer, over the time there is the risk of damage to both your carpet and potentially your subfloor. Longer grippers also pose a health and safety risk when transporting, unpacking and moving the mat.
