We are an independent, boutique, family run bar. We set Maul’s up after getting inspiration from the cheese board and delicious Montepulciano wine we enjoyed on our first date. From there our love affair with wine and cheese grew, and the rest as they say, is history. We only stock what we love, good quality local and international wine, cheese and cured meats and pâtés along with some delicious chutneys and pickles. Life’s most decadent and delicious pleasures.

Fantastic wine bar. We really enjoyed our lunch with wine today. All cheeses were delicious and the Parma ham- best I’ve ever tasted. The guy who served us was so friendly and helpful. He was so knowledgeable and recommended cheeses he thought we would like to try. All presented beautifully on the board . Can’t wait to return with my husband for an evening wine and nibbles !

Came here for a work do as someone who only drinks wine when I have to. Even if you’re not partial to the grape, the cheese/meat boards are very tasty (and expertly prepared or recommended by the staff, if you can’t decide what to have) and they have drinks to suit every pallet, even a few glasses of wine to convert this committed beer drinker.
