I contacted Mauritian Food Online on the 15th December to purchase some Lychee’s. I was told to contact them on the following week Tuesday the 19th Dec as that is when the lychee would arrive.

On that Tuesday I did contact them to only be told that not enough of the fruit arrived and they had completely sold out that day, I made enquiries as to when the next shipment would arrive. I was told it would now be Friday the 22nd Dec, I politely asked how to ensure I could reserve them to avoid missing out. I was told that I would be contacted in 10 mins as they will find out, I gave it around 15 minutes and nobody called me back so I tried again to contact them but no response. I left two SMS messages but nobody had the courtesy to reply.

I contacted them again last Friday and still no response. I contacted them today (27th Dec) to only be told “we were busy” and “we didn’t receive any of the lychees” I challenged that remark to point out that it was not entirely correct in that a shipment arrived last Tuesday to which this was no longer denied. I explained how disappointed I was but the customer service unfortunately was poor and instead of taking any responsibility they appeared to be defensive and didn’t care.

Appalling customer service and certainly not one I would recommend, at least have the courtesy to be honest with your customer.

I do not order a lot from "Mauritian Foods Online" but every time a do it is a simple positive experience.
When I need something its a few clicks, I am logged in, its ordered and on the way.
