Mavis Tire - Albany Reviews 13

Had an appointment on 10/27/25. Been here before, made an appointment for tire rotation and an oil change at 11am. Got there on a busy day, after over an hour and a half see my car get pulled in, hood popped and then nothing. About 15 minutes later (nothing going on with my car), I hear one of the employees finishing up with a woman who came in a half hour after me. I go around to the desk, ask for my keys back and the employee with the woman interjects and asks what’s wrong. I note the details and point out the woman he is finishing up with came in after me and no work has started on my car. He immediately starts getting agitated stating if cars are in the bay they don’t get pulled out for an appointment (he is yelling at this time), I say , I’m not sure why you are yelling , and you haven’t addressed my point that I quietly waited until I saw that someone who came in after me had their car worked on(I believe she had a tire puncture). He continues to yell, starts using the F word (repeatedly) saying maybe I should come back there and work with him, and that he is sick and tired of people who feel entitled (mind you this is 2 hours after I arrived for an appointment). At this point I yell back after all this you still have not addressed my point that a customer who arrived after me had their car worked on before me. He then claims a bay was open so her car got pulled in, had no response when I asked why mine wasn’t. I again ask for my keys he storms out still yelling and cursing pulls my car out of the bay and tells from the garage the keys are in it. This took place in front of two other customers and two staffers. I requested his name, was told it was Josh. I expected to get my keys and quietly point out why I was leaving. Instead this buffoon interjected, yelling and cursing repeatedly. I will never go to a Mavis again.

Very bad customer service, after 3hours wait in there they ask me why I m here. I just loose my 3 hours and back home.
Never go this store.

I had great service today. Don was exceptional with customer service and his team did a great job! Happy customer will be back!!

I was treated with respect on the phone making the appt. And when my husband brought the car in, the day before a holiday, he stated the service and Mavis employee was excellent! Thank you

Your staff is friendly and helpful. The service was quick. I drive ridiculous miles, and I use Mavis because I can find one wherever I am. The only thing I dislike is that my basic oil change is always a different price. (I get my oil changed at 5000 miles, every 6-8 weeks). Why can't all the stores charge the same?

My Daughter went in to the Albany Mavis located at 935 Central Ave for an inspection and i knew she needed Front brake calipers, Rotors and Pads, and I expressed to the mechanic whose name was either Roosevelt or Dominic (because the mechanic put in a fake employee number on the paperwork) in charge of doing the job that if any other work is needed to let me know personally as my daughter knows nothing about cars and she was up north in New York at school. The mechanic called me back and said she needs wipers as well at which time i said ok, in the interim he put on 2 front struts and labor involved to the sum of $744.00 without telling me but instead tells my daughter who knows nothing about cars and which the car did not need struts to pass inspection as the one`s that were on the car were in good working condition, I have since spoken to Jeff( asst manager), Cori ( Manager) and still weeks later haven`t heard from Mike (district manager) who was told by Cori & Jeff to call me back in order to address this matter of how it was not ok to install these struts in the first place so instead after numerous phone calls, they have ignored and not returned , this matter has been going on for some time now and stll not resolved. I personally would not ever do business with this establishment as it practices are dishonest.

My service quick, friendly and professional, I always use Mavis for my tire services will be returning, I recommend this business for all your tire services and oil change very friendly and helpful staff.
