Disaster! Never take your fleet vehicle here! Scheduled an 8:00 apt to repair a flat (screw was in the middle of the tire not sidewall). The manager showed up at 8:15. Customers and non-key carrying employees were waiting outside. At 10:30 an employee came over to me in the lobby and let me know that they were waiting on authorization from fleet to go ahead. At this point I had been there for 2.5 hrs. At 10:45 I called fleet myself to ask what the hold was. They stated that Mavis asked for 2 new rear tires, 2 new shocks bc apparently mine were “leaking” (b.s. bc it’s a 2024 Toyota Highlander serviced regularly and never abused), new cabin filter and engine filter (both were previously changed 4k ago, so no need to change them), and new wipers (which were also changed 4k ago). Nobody told me any of this while I was waiting. Sooooo pissed! At 11:00, I go to the counter and ask for the manager and let them know what Fleet said. They said it was standard procedure to to do EVERYTHING on the recommended maintenance sheet. They stated that they didn’t need to ask the customer and it was CORPORATE policy and they didn’t need my consent. I’m 3 hours deep at this point. ZERO work has been completed at this time. They assured me that everything would be done in one hour and 20 mins. This would put me there for 4hrs and 20 mins. I left and came back at 1:00pm. This gave them 2 full hours to complete the job. When I returned it STILL WAS NOT COMPLETED! Long story short, I got my car back at 1:45pm. 5hrs and 45 mins after I arrived for a simple tire repair.
Mavis, if this truly is your corporate policy, to green light & authorize EVERYTNING you can without the customers consent, I will be reaching out to our corporate fleet company & let them know what type of shady business your running. Truly unacceptable! I’m in sales. I drive over 3,500 miles a month and are in contact with a lot of people. I will let every single one of them know about this experience. Myself, my immediate family, extended family, coworkers, and customers will never use Mavis again based on this experience.
