Questionable Estimate for Frontend Alignment
I needed a front-end alignment after having recently replaced the two front tires on my 2011 Chrysler. The garage that I have been using for over 20 years was so busy that I needed to wait three weeks for an appointment. Not too keen on waiting that long, I decided to try another garage that does front-end wheel alignment. I chose Mavis Tire Supply on 2912 Old Lincoln Highway. I was able to get an appointment right away and when I arrived I was greeted very politely and observed an impressive operation. After a period of investigation, I was told the wheel alignment was not straight forward and that additional parts would be needed. The estimated cost was $1016.00 (their advertised price is "Mavis charges between $80 and $100 to align all four wheels.") I thought I needed a second opinion and decided to accept the three week wait-time from my regular mechanic. The result was a diagnostic completely different from Mavis Tire with a price for the alignment of $459. I'm very happy that I waited for a second opinion.
