Scammers- same as the rest of the reviews on here. So annoyed at myself for falling for it! Our experience was actually in April 2023 when there were no Trust Pilot reviews, but the website won't let... See more

DEFINITELY a well-organised a scam, initially very convincing as they send in a 'surveyor' and supposedly register you with HMRC. After this, you wont hear from them again and they will never respond... See more

Sadly
Sadly, this company is a scam and once money is paid to them, they do not answer emails or the telephone. They initially send a salesman and you think he represents a legitimate company. This is not the case. Do not deal with this company. In particular, Richard Nelson who never responds to you once the company gets the money you part with. AVOID.

Very impressive when they visit and take your money.
After that total waste of space. Should have read the reviews on Trustpilot.
SCAM
My story is very similar to the rest paid them the initial amount of £1600+. Now its been over a year I have been ringing them to find out but the landline just plays a voice recording that email us on Richards account or info account and we will respond back with in 24 hours. Its been several months and there has been no response. Further more I also called the VOA office and they told me that no challenge was submitted, only check was submitted which has also expired. I was informed by Richard via email that he has submitted the challenge but obviously that was a lie. It's a scam unfortunately.

I think they are a con.
I think they are a con.
I stupidly paid £1300 and have been given the run around, then silence for a claim from 18 months ago.
I think they do start the claim but don't bother doing anything else. Don't bother using them.
Mayfair, if you are reading this please get in touch and resolve the issue.

Be I touch. I paid the upfront fee of £1300plus vat and that was the end of it, 6 months down the road and still nothing getting told my receptionist that someone will call you back and help you fill another form and so on! Don’t make the mistake like me DO NOT PAY THEM ANYTHING!..
We almost walked into this
We almost walked into this. A big of digging around, this review and a look at companies house says the same as Eddie. Not who they claim to be. Upfront fee should have sent alarm bells ringing no legal stuff on website. We woke up before it was too late.
I smell a rat... Refused to give a reference and have ZERO reviews
Employed MBS to handle a business rates review for us. They were great on the phone and sent a surveyor to see us who claimed they could get us over £30,000 back in overpaid rates. I agreed to pay £1,300 up front to get them started, but when I started digging, I realised they had NOT ONE review on Google or Trustpilot and their trading company has only ever filed dormant accounts. Furthermore, their office is a registered (not even a serviced) office address in Central London, but they are clearly based somewhere in the north of England. Mayfair based, they are not!
When I pointed this out to Helen and asked for a reference from a previous company they had acted for, they came up with every excuse under the sun and outright refused to even attempt to obtain a reference or give me the name of one company they'd acted for in the past.
When I asked why they had no reviews whatsoever, their answer was "Well we haven't got any negative ones, so isn't that the same"? NO!
I have not parted with any money to MBS and i'm not intending on doing so.
I cannot say for sure that this is a scam, but I smell a rat. I have spent nearly a month requesting a reference from them and have received nothing. If it was my business and I had loads of satisfied customers, my customers would be more than happy to provide a nice review or reference.
