Rude staff

Rude staff. Do not know what they are talking about and will overcharge you. Not to mention during this lease we had to go over a day without water because they failed to pay our water bill even when we had been paying Simple Bills. We never received any compensation or offer to stay elsewhere until they resolved the issue

Where do I start

Where do I start? What began as a seemingly peaceful move-in quickly deteriorated.
Poor communication when placing repair orders. The home I rented dated from the 1980s, not terribly old, but it had significant mold growth that I reported. Their cleaning approach, bleach and cleanup felt inadequate, and I could have done a better job myself.
Plumbing repairs were poorly handled, and technicians were sent out three times.
Overall, it was a bad experience. I’d rather avoid similar headaches and look for a place that’s clean and fresh inside and out.

Yes , they do not refund deposits.

They will take it .

If you are experiencing unresolved water intrusion, incomplete repairs, or unexplained health symptoms in a Maymont-managed property

I am a tenant at a property managed by Maymont Homes. After years of unresolved moisture and maintenance issues, a professional inspection declared my home uninhabitable due to confirmed mold contamination. I have been displaced for over 110 days with no resolution.
Extreme utility bills and lack of insulation were repeatedly reported throughout my tenancy. When a sump pump was installed, it was done without a dehumidifier, vapor barrier, or encapsulation — the components required to properly protect a home from mold contamination per CDC standards. A roof leak was also reported and never fully repaired. The conditions worsened over time.
Both my health and my pet's health declined during this period. I was diagnosed with Myofascial Pain Syndrome — commonly known as Fibromyalgia — while living in these conditions. My cat developed asthma and allergic bronchitis. My functional health team and a veterinarian identified mold exposure as a likely contributing factor. Mold remediation does not end when you leave a contaminated property. It continues inside your body — in your inflammation, your immune response, your nervous system. We are still healing, including our asthmatic 14-year-old son.
If you are experiencing unresolved water intrusion, incomplete repairs, or unexplained health symptoms in a Maymont-managed property — document everything. Dates, photos, written requests, and medical records matter. Do not assume repairs are complete because a work order was closed.
Maymont Homes refused direct communication until a BBB complaint was filed. They have since delivered a lease termination letter to a property they declared unsafe to occupy, offered no compensation, and presented a contract designed to silence our situation. No resolution has been made.

I strongly advise against renting from…

I strongly advise against renting from Maymont Homes. My experience has been marked by poor property conditions, ineffective maintenance, and consistent communication failures that caused unnecessary stress for my family.
The home was not properly cleaned or sanitized prior to move-in. The hardwood floors showed clear signs of prior pet use, residue buildup, and deterioration that made proper cleaning impossible. Despite repeated complaints, Maymont Homes dismissed these concerns and continued to claim the property met “rentable” standards, even though basic habitability and cleanliness expectations were not met.
Maintenance issues were handled poorly. Vendors were sent out who failed to complete work, left debris behind, or did not return to finish assigned tasks. Each issue required repeated follow-ups from me, and accountability was minimal. Rather than proactively resolving problems, the burden was consistently placed on the tenant to chase responses.
Communication was disorganized and unreliable. Emails and calls often went unanswered, and resolutions were delayed or avoided altogether. A $500 rent concession was offered only if I signed a release agreement waiving my rights. When I declined to sign away protections while issues remained unresolved, the concession was withdrawn. This felt coercive and undermined any claim of “goodwill.”
As a parent providing a home for my children, I expected professionalism, transparency, and accountability. Instead, my experience suggests Maymont Homes prioritizes liability protection over tenant well-being. Renters should proceed with extreme caution and document everything.

Still waiting on my Deposit Refund

⭐ 1-Star Review
My lease was transferred to Maymont Homes during the second year, with no phone call or explanation—just an email. That set the tone for the experience.
I moved out early, left the home and yard professionally cleaned, completed all required move-out documentation, and provided my correct forwarding address multiple times. Despite this, Maymont issued my security deposit refund (over $2,500) to a completely incorrect, unrelated address.
Since then, customer service has been nearly impossible to deal with. Calls require 15–20-minute waits, and representatives are unable to answer basic questions or communicate with internal departments. I have received conflicting information on every call, missed promised callbacks, and shifting timelines. I was told my corrected refund would be mailed by 12/1/2025, then later told it would take another 7–14 business days—all while the wrong address continues to be referenced.
At this point, I have no confidence that my refund will be issued or mailed correctly without escalation. Competent customer service matters, especially when a company strictly enforces rent deadlines and penalties. Unfortunately, Maymont does not hold itself to the same standard.
I would not recommend renting from Maymont Homes.

If I could give a zero

If I could give a zero, I would! This is just conrex, they changed their name. Absolutely disgusting, scamming company. All complaints about Conrex, carry over to their new name Maymont. In the process of lawsuit. Don’t rent from these people. Save yourself emotional, mental and financial hardship!!
