Mbugani Camps Tent Camp, in the famed Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, is the way camping should be! Each of the 15 spacious tents (number of tents varies by season as Mbugani also has mobile tent camps that follow the Great Migration. Please inquire at our website if you would like to find out more about our mobile camps) are furnished in hardwood and wicker furniture, comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms with flush toilets, roomy showers with 2 shower heads, fluffy towels, and locally-sourced sisal rugs on the floors, while still being a canvas tent set in the bush and close to the animals. Mbugani Camps is solar-powered, with a back-up generator for cloudy days, and hot and cold running water are available all day (with a 5-10 minute lead time on hot water needs). The main camp also has Wifi and power strips in each tent to recharge all of your electronic devices. Tents have canvas-covered verandahs with camp chairs to enjoy a beverage, a book, or just quiet reflection overlooking the vast plains of the Serengeti. Each tent features two queen-sized beds and one tent is devoted to honeymooners...a king-sized bed and a bit of privacy please! The dining tent also features hardwood furniture, crisp linens, china, glassware and flatware along with locally-made fabrics and decorative items. The walls of the tent can be removed for al fresco dining and boasts a full bar with fine wines from South Africa. A lounge tent is available to all as a gathering place to meet other guests or just relax on the sofa and reflect on your good fortune to be staying here. Offering 3 multi-course meals each day, as well as lunch boxes to go for game drives, Mbugani Camps has an accomplished chef who prepares scrumptious and generous meals, along with freshly baked breads and desserts. Vegetarian cuisine and other special dietary needs are accommodated upon advance notice. The friendly and expert staff of Mbugani Camps will greet you upon arrival and are there to assist and serve you throughout your stay. You'd like a bottle of wine or soft drink brought to your tent? No problem. You need an extra pillow? A little snack before bedtime? Anything your heart desires, they will do their best to accommodate you if at all possible. Each evening a campfire is lit, encircled by safari camp chairs and side tables for a "Sundowner", (snacks and beverages), story-telling and a re-cap of the days' game drive among the other guests. You will be escorted by staff to your tent after sundown and although animals will occasionally wander through the campsite at night, you will always be safe and secure whether inside or outside your tent. Close to nature without sacrificing the little comforts of home...this is the ONLY way to experience the Serengeti. Imagine yourself here. We do. Welcome to Mbugani Camps.

Seronera and Bologonya Camps

We stayed in both Seronera and Bologonya camps. It was a wonderful experience in both places. The tents are great (it's everything you need), the nature is wonderful and close to animals, the security is very high - but most of all - THE STAFF. They are fantastic and do everything they can to make your stay perfect. They are service minded, professional, flexible and smiling. We can only recommend Mbuganicamps - we enjoyed our stay so much.
