Went into the store near the Marina and got such helpful advice! We recently bought our first home, and have a baby with a condition which can be exacerbated by strong smells. We were interested in low VOC paint and had our eyes on the Ralston range. Left with brilliant advice and even more brilliant paint. The store is heaven for paint buyers but also to get your creative thoughts flowing. The paint has gone on like a dream, will definitely go to Pat McDonnell paints everytime!

Customer feels valued
One of the few places left where the staff have time for their customers. You feel valued and they are more than willing to help you with any advice you need. They'll come out from behind the counter to help you if needed They're also way cheaper than Woodies

I usually buy my paint and supplies from Pat McDonnell Paints in Nutgrove Rathfarnham for the following reasons, it’s a one stop situation everything I need for the project is there and materials are competively priced.
The staff are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly yet professional and go the extra mile. Anna is particularly helpful with colour selections, I think it a combination of a great eye for the colours and an obvious wealth of experience. I have returned after years looking for a colour to touch up rooms and from a mere photo she has managed to find my colour. It’s a talent.

Poor
Very Poor - my main ask was for as low as possible VOC satin wood.i was given one that had 130g/l VOC. I resarched later and there are much lower VOC satin woods available. I described the job that needed doing to the retail staff and I was also sold a primer as well as the satin wood paint for 70 euro that i didnt need. My painter said it wasnt neeced, so i went to return it and they wouldnt take it back because it was tinted paint, even though id only bought it a few days ago, and their staff had handed me this primer from the back of their store. Poor customer service and advice. Blanchardstown retail park branch. I will stick to woodies next time. Wood advise anybody else the same .
