Superb aftersales service!
Just signed up to Trustpilot in order to share my very positive experience with MCScom / MCS Technology.
I purchased a refurb Dell 5285 from them a couple of months ago. It was a smooth transaction and I was really happy with the ordering process, the Dell tablet and the price.
Unfortunately after a couple of months of daily use, it became apparent that the battery was approaching the end of its usable life - unfortunately this is just the nature of buying refurbished electronics sometimes, it will happen to any laptop or tablet ultimately, and I can't blame MCS at all since the issue wasn't evident when I received the tablet.
Annoyingly, it happened at the worst possible time- I'm a PhD student and fast approaching my thesis deadline! Because of this, I didn't want to be without a laptop, and have to wait for (then set up) a replacement. I asked MCS if they'd be willing to instead send a replacement battery for me to fit myself (it's not the easiest thing to do since it requires disassembly, but I mentioned that I was aware of this and have some experience taking apart an fixing laptops, so I was willing to accept the risk/liability in case it didn't work out). Less than 48 hours later, I received the replacement battery (completely free, including the shipping) with no hassle or fuss, and having just fitted it, have a fully working 5285 again.
While I was happy with the general service and purchasing experience (and as mentioned by another poster here, the fact they use DPD is worth mentioning since they are probably the best courier I've used) - what really has me pleased was their excellent aftersales support. When buying used/refurb tech, aftersales support should be a major consideration, and I'm super happy I chose MCScom and not eBay (or even Dell's own refurb site) since I bet such sellers wouldn't have been so willing to quickly send out a free replacement battery.
Hats off to MCScom, I'd happily use them again!
