While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

MDPI shot excellent explainer video

MDPI offered to make a video FOR FREE to illustrate our paper about decision change. I wrote a quite difficult script and when their first version of the video did not convey the message right, the team was willing to shoot it all over again, although officially, only minor glitches are fixed. The result is video 1729 on encyclopedia dot pub. For the animations and visuals, they made excellent choices and the voice over is intentionally slow because the proposal is hard to understand at first sight and hearing. If you are honoured to get such an offer, I highly recommend accepting it. Thanks again to the team.

Abysmal

Abysmal, treats their staff like garbage and highly unethical platform in regard to lack of rigorous checks on papers that are published, so long as the money is paid to get it out there.

Predatory publisher

Doesn't honor unsubscription requests (spammer).

Invites me to become reviewer or even editor for random topics where I have absolutely no expertise. That is certainly not what scientific peer review is supposed to be like. This sheds a very bad light on the already low reputation of this publisher.

There are many predatory publishers out there, and MDPI is apparently one of them.
