I first met Ed at the Newark Garden Show, where I chatted with him and browsed the plants on his stall, I asked if he gave talks to Gardening Clubs, which he said he did, so he was subsequently booked to give his talk on ‘Re-Wilding, making Habitats for Wildlife,’ which he duly delivered to our Club.
Ed has a most warm, and attractive personality and is a ‘natural’ at engaging with his audience and keeping them absorbed in his subject. His excellent and informative talk was much enjoyed by all present, with several members commenting on it being one of the best talks we’ve ever had. I have subsequently asked Ed if he has other talks in his repertoire, which he has, so I shall be booking him again in the very near future.
As someone who has, for many years, regularly researched and booked Speakers for our Club, I have no hesitation whatsoever in heartily recommending Ed, whose passion for, and knowledge of his subject, is obvious, along with his ability to engage with his audience, which is exceptional.

Suoersize plugs..this was a repeat order.

Such plugs take a long time to grow so either order in good time or be prepared to consider alternatives in stock.

Whilst the first batch of plants were badly damaged by Royal Mail a replacement batch was quickly despatched and are doing well. Great customer service and a nice range of wildflowers.

Ed is a marvel! We have a dreadful back garden, mostly rubble, with a thin veil of soil, good only for grass, but we desperately wanted a wildlife pond. Something simple, not too deep, to attract as much wildlife as we could. I met Ed at the Newark Show, bought some wildflowers and asked if he ‘did’ ponds! Long story short, after 2 attempts at getting a digger through our garage, he dug us a pond! He is immensely knowledgeable, easy to get hold of, amenable, reasonable, and has a great ‘eye’!! So happy to have met him! You will be too!

Meadowmakers have been fantastic.

Having our wild meadow border at our house started off as an initial concept. I was recommended Meadowmakers/ Ed from some work colleagues. I have always loved wild flowers and am very invested in bees (having kept them in the past).

The website I found a wealth of information. But I would recommend anyone to email directly for advice.

Our particular borders that we have done is more shaded a lot of the time, which Ed sorted us out no problem with plants he felt would thrive best in our patch.

I found Ed’s communication via email fantastic. He provides so much information and advice freely with no pressure.

Ed came, planted our little border and we have had no problems since. I have even contacted him a few months later for advise which he got back to me with support straight away.
