Avoid Meave & Ivy

Scam - do not use. The Meave & Ivy website looks legit. It advertises clothes as being high quality with fast UK delivery. The item I ordered is awful. A paper thin ‘coat’ that was advertised as water and wind proof. It’s just a sheet of fabric with loose threads and no finish. I tracked the parcel and I took over 3 weeks from China. Trying to get a refund but they have offered me a 15% discount which I have refused as goods are not as advertised. Do not buy anything

Do not purchase from this company!
Trying to get a refund is a joke. Item returned and still waiting for refund. Has taken nearly 2 months and still sending emails.
Returning items is very expensive as you have to pay a customs fee on top of postage!
Avoid at all costs!!!

£129.95 dress was nothing like advertised — still waiting for my refund Scam trading as MeaveandIvy. Beware and keep away!!!!

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Meave & Ivy.

On 20 August 2026, I ordered their “Burgundy Sparkle Blazer Dress – Radiant Shimmer Tailoring” for £129.95 for an important function. The website photographs showed a beautiful, structured burgundy blazer dress covered extensively in sparkling/rhinestone embellishment.

My order did not arrive until 12 September — 23 days after I ordered it. The parcel had been shipped from China.

What arrived was astonishingly different from what I had purchased. Instead of the heavily embellished sparkle blazer dress shown on the website, I received a plain burgundy satin-style blazer dress with none of the advertised all-over rhinestone/sparkle detailing. I have photographs of both the website listing and the garment I actually received, and the difference is obvious.

I contacted Meave & Ivy and supplied photographic evidence. To their credit, their customer service representative has acknowledged in writing that this is a “wrong-item case” and even stated:

“You ordered a blazer, waited a long time, and received something different.”

However, despite acknowledging this, I am still waiting for my £129.95 refund.

I have repeatedly been told that my refund is “with the owner”, is “marked urgent”, and that I will receive an outcome “quickly.” I was also told that the owner needs to make a “decision” regarding my refund.

This is the part I find particularly frustrating. I paid Meave & Ivy through their website. They have acknowledged that the wrong item was supplied and have my photographic evidence. I therefore do not understand why I should be left waiting indefinitely for an unidentified “owner” to decide whether I should receive my money back.

I have also been told not to return the garment yet, because they need to decide who will pay the return postage and will provide a return address with their decision. I appreciate being told not to spend my own money returning an incorrectly supplied product, but it still leaves me with the wrong garment and £129.95 outstanding.

Another concern is transparency. I believed I was purchasing from the retailer presented on the website as Meave & Ivy. My parcel was shipped from China, and the delivery label identifies the retailer only as “YE”, not Meave & Ivy. I have subsequently had to ask Meave & Ivy to explain who is actually responsible for supplying my order.

The experience has been incredibly frustrating:

£129.95 paid → 23-day wait → parcel shipped from China → materially different garment received → photographic evidence supplied → wrong-item case acknowledged → repeated promises of an urgent/quick decision → still waiting for my refund.

I had actually been considering buying more clothes from this website. After this experience, my confidence has been seriously undermined.

I have retained my order confirmation, screenshots and PDFs of the original product listing, photographs of what actually arrived, the parcel packaging and delivery label, and all correspondence with Meave & Ivy.

I will update this review if and when my £129.95 refund is actually received. Until then, this accurately reflects my experience.
