A Costly and Distressing Dental Experience – Please Research Carefully Before Choosing This Clinic

I travelled from Australia to Medico Clinic in Istanbul, Turkey, in the hope of restoring my teeth and improving my quality of life. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing and stressful.

After my treatment, I experienced ongoing pain and discomfort, problems with my bite, difficulty speaking naturally, and food becoming trapped under the bridges. I was also concerned about the size, shape, alignment and fit of the crowns and bridges.

After approximately eight months, the dental work had to be removed because of the problems I was experiencing. I have photographs documenting the dental pieces that were removed. This has been a costly and emotionally exhausting experience, and I have been left facing further dental treatment.

I travelled a long distance and placed my trust in this clinic, expecting professional care and a satisfactory result. Instead, the outcome has caused me significant distress and loss of confidence.

I am sharing my personal experience so that other patients, particularly those travelling from Australia for dental tourism, can make an informed decision. Please research carefully, seek an independent dental opinion, ask detailed questions about the proposed treatment, and obtain clear written information about warranties and aftercare before committing to extensive dental work overseas.

This review reflects my own experience as a genuine patient. I can support my account with photographs and relevant treatment records.

I hope the clinic takes these concerns seriously and improves its treatment planning, communication, quality control and aftercare for future patients.

Very disappointing experience. I travelled from Australia and spent over $7,000 AUD on my dental treatment.

I was booked for 9 days but most of the work was rushed through in only 3 days. They left me until the last day and then worked on my teeth under pressure before I had to fly home. My crowns were too big, my bite was wrong, the front teeth were jagged, and I had problems with the bridge.

William was very convincing before I committed to the treatment, but I feel I was misled about several things, including the warranty and aftercare.

Mohammed from aftercare was extremely rude and unprofessional when I raised my concerns.

If you see a response from the clinic saying they tried to help or resolve everything, in my experience that is simply not true. I know what I personally went through and how I was treated.

I’m sharing this so other Australians considering dental treatment overseas can do their research carefully before committing.

My experience with this dental clinic has been the worst of my life and extremely disappointing. I feel it is so important to warn others before they make the same mistakes of their life like I did.

I have contacted the clinic numerous times seeking help, an explanation, and a fair resolution. I have sent multiple messages and made formal complaints, but my attempts to communicate have been consistently ignored. The lack of response has been just as upsetting as the treatment outcome itself.

When patients travel abroad for dental work, they place all of their trust in the clinic’s expertise and aftercare commitments. In my case, once problems arose, that support disappeared. I have been left feeling abandoned and without the assistance that was promised when I agreed to the treatment.

I felt from the time I that I left the clinic the problems that I encountered were actually caused on purpose by the staff that worked on me because once I learned that they were lying to me and cheating me by charging me for all the hotel stays even though they told me it was included in the price for work to be done, I called them every despicable name in the book including crooks, cheats and corrupt.

There is absolutely no way that I can recommend this clinic based on my experience. Before committing to treatment, I strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to research carefully, read both positive and negative reviews, and ask exactly what support will be provided should complications occur upon returning home. I did five long months of dedicated research and I still got taken.

Now I am left with a complete upper abutment that is loose and completely misaligned. I cannot find a dentist here in my state that will help by correcting the problems that this clinic caused in my mouth. The ones that I have seen want another $20,000 to do the work.

This situation is causing me a lot of pain and discomfort. It has been 5 months now, things are not better and I have the rest of my life to endure the pain and discomfort because the worst dentists in the world, ruined my mouth in my opinion.

This dental clinic doesn't have any ethics. They don't know what the word means.

I will be sending letters of complaints to the health department and the dental association in turkey in hopes that I will get any replies about this situation and will also write to a newspaper in turkey to publish my story so I can protect others from this clinic.

Came from England to get treatment with one doctor, ended up in the hands of junior kids! Be careful and ask who is your dentist, plus understand they will cause complications, and they will charge you for the complications they caused!! All junior, first session they act polite, then once treatment starts you find this was a totally messed up job! Please , be careful as things can get really messy!

Most of the good reviews are fake they made it up

Now I am left with cracked and incomplete implant on the top and no teeth in the bottom .
This situation is causing me a lots of sadness and depression especially at work and now I have to wear mask all day to cover my mouth .
I have sent a written complaint to health department in turkey and also dental association in turkey and I hope I get any reply about this situation and also wrote to a newspaper in turkey to publish my story so I can protect others from this clinic.

I strongly advise people, especially international patients coming from Canada or other countries, to avoid Medico Clinic.

Before traveling to Turkey, I spent a long time communicating with a representative named Carl. He was very convincing and made me feel confident enough to travel for treatment. I believed my X-rays and treatment plan had already been properly reviewed with the dentist before my arrival.

However, once I arrived, the information from the dentist was completely different from what I had been told before traveling. The experience started feeling more like a sales and marketing operation than professional medical care.

I repeatedly asked to meet the person I had been speaking with on the phone, but although I was told he was upstairs in the building, he never came to meet me personally. That raised serious concerns for me about transparency and professionalism.

What concerned me even more was being advised to remove healthy teeth and place additional implants that did not seem necessary. Instead of focusing on preserving healthy teeth, the focus felt heavily centered on increasing the treatment cost.

When I decided not to continue treatment because I was no longer comfortable with the situation, I was suddenly asked to pay for two nights of hotel accommodation and transportation costs, even though I had originally been told those services were included. What made it worse was that no proper receipts or clear breakdown of the charges were provided. For international patients already spending thousands of dollars to travel, this kind of lack of transparency creates serious concerns and destroys trust.

Please be extremely careful. Do not rely only on social media advertising, celebrity promotions, or sales representatives. Always get multiple professional opinions before agreeing to major dental work or removing healthy teeth.

Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Medico Clinic in Turkey.”

My experince overall was very positive. I have struggled with my teeth for years and living in England, treatment was too expensive for me to even consider. I found medico online and was attracted by their full treatment plan. Before going I was always terrified of dentists and wanted any excuse to avoid them. When I got there, there was always a driver arranged for me to take me from hotel and to clinic and back. When I went for my treatment I had multiple root canals, extractions and implants. What reassured me is prior to the treatment I was expected to have more extractions and implants but they were honest and sincere with me advising me im young and that they would be able to save my real teeth. They could have easily went down the money route and took advantage but they didnt. The staff are very polite and kind and am excited to return on my second trip. Thank you Medico

I am writing my review, with a smile on my face and only great memories in this clinic, I wana start with the doctors they have, man they're brilliant they do the job with love and care about your own health as If it's theirs, I won't lie to anyone about my fear in the beginning to go to turkey and get scammed but this Clinic felt like Home, they have the best equipments, the best followup staff, any small problem you have they're always ready to listen to you or to get you straight away to the clinic to treat your problem while your procedure is ongoing, the coordination staff and never Forget Rama the Best Medical Consultant I've ever met, I got heart warming welcome, explained to me step by step detailed treatment and even followed up with me the smallest details and to be honest I can't be more pleased, I would advice all my family close people and loved ones and anyone reading my review to visit this wholesome Clinic and they'll never regret and price wise it's one of the most affordable ones you will find there and for sure it's way cheaper than anywhere around Europe or Finland where i come from. The prices you get at first are the same you will unless you don't give x-ray in advance which makes alot of sense when it comes to dental treatment due to the medical staff are doctors not clairvoyants they can't guess by basic phone pictures what is hidden under your gum as nerves problems or teeth strengths which is for real so logical, my treatment was very little changed in the beginning due to x-rays that gave doctors clear picture about my case, the implants doctor the root canal doctor and the zirconia crowns installation doctor were fabulous I would for sure recommend. Anyone reads this can contact me and I can show them my wide smile 😎😁.

It was the smoothest process I could have ever expected! Coming to a country I've never been to before had a level of anxiety involved but Medico and Sultan made those worries disappear from the moment I arrived! From coordinating every moment of my journey with my Hair Transplant and my New Teeth to the transportation from the airport to my hotel when I arrived and to each and every appointment I was scheduled. Every question I had was thoughtfully answered timely and they went out of their way to assist me at any moment no matter when I reached out to them. The Hotel Room which was setup for me by the Medico Clinic and Sultan my Representative was a top notch 5 star hotel with all the amenities I could have asked for that exceeded my expectations! I will Definitely recommend Medico Clinic to ANYONE that asks me about getting their teeth or hair done, especially after they see how great of a job they did with mine! They made my trip and experience an Amazing one and I can't thank everyone enough for their kindness and hospitality I received from the moment I arrived to the moment I leave to travel back home! It was truly a privilege to come to Istanbul Turkey and have this Experience that I will not ever forget! I am even planning on coming back again and bringing my wife and kids with me so they can have the same experience I did and see how great the area and people are! I really enjoyed my time in this clinic, they are all helpful and always smiling. Doctor Mustafa was very patient and smooth he was answering all my questions. Especially Ms Marina who were always keeping up with me from the beginning to the end. For me Medico is the best clinic in Istanbul.

I don’t know what people says about MADICO but I did 6 implants and 28 crown 3 years ago it is all good I am very happy perfectly done even I send them 3 of my friends after there they all happy . After 3 years I had a small problem one of my implants it was moving I contact them they give appointments 17 of November they took my implanted out with 3 other crown they did 2 root canal they clean all put bridge nicely as I ask them cos my bone was damage they work on me 5 days to make sure I gonna go happily back to London I was receiving a night before message to be there in time the worst case wait 15 minute not more I suggest everyone to go there every doctor speak English plus manager reception you will not problem at all thanks to all doctors and staff and special thanks to mr ali I think he is the owner of company

I had a fantastic experience during my dental procedure with Medico Clinic. My consultant Sultan was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and approachable throughout the process. He took the time to clearly explain every detail and answered all my questions with patience.
The interviewer, Belal reassured me and provided thoughtful recommendations tailored to my needs. The surgeon dentist Mouhamad was professional and demonstrated expertise especially with the removal of my wisdom tooth.

I visited a dental clinic Medico in Istanbul earlier this year and was truly impressed by the quality of care.
The clinic was modern, spotless, and equipped with the latest technology.
My dentist Dr. Sabanci took time to explain each procedure clearly, which helped me feel comfortable and informed.
All the staff were polite, attentive, and spoke good English, making communication easy.
I had several treatments done, including a dental implant surgery and a crown precedure, and everything was painless and efficient.
The prices were very reasonable compared to what I would pay in Canada.
I also appreciated that the clinic followed strict hygiene standards and used top-quality materials.
Appointments ran on time, and the overall experience felt well-organized and professional.
The hotel I stayed at was a five-star property with exellent service. The transfer from and to airport was also covered by the Medico clinic.
I also like to express my gratitude to the clinic's manager, Lana. She is a true professional who knows how to handle any situation. She speaks 5 languages, which is extremely important when working with patients coming from all over the world.
Overall, I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone considering dental treatment in Turkey.

As of now I did my first part. My implants were put in. The Dr. Was great very ight hand didn’t feel anything and no pain after it was done. Service and communication was on point, anything I needed was responded immediately. My net visit to finish is in 4 months and I’m very excited to finish my teeth.
