Reliable and fast
Good for finding affordable English books in good condition. Always ship very fast. I also shopped with them on Ebay (where I found them) and had a good experience. Will come back for more!
They lie and steal and get away with it
I received a badly damaged book while the product was described as very good. I contacted the seller. They said that I could return the book at my own expense and that I would receive a full refund including a refund of the return shipping costs. After several emails, I finally received a refund. However, I only got a partial refund and the return shipping costs were not refunded either. This company does not keep their promises and they take your money. They lie and steal and somehow they keep getting away with it.

Awful customer service
I ordered over 20 books from them over the past couple of years, which always arrived within a week and often in better condition than advertised. Then, in late December 2021, I ordered - and paid for (EUR 20.77) - a book which never arrived. I contacted customer service in mid-January, asking about the status of my order. Someone did reply initially, saying that they couldn't find my order, then they stopped answering altogether - both my emails and the complaints I filed through their website. Very disappointing.
LE: After posting my review, I was contacted by someone from customer service, who said that the money had been refunded. That was over a month ago. I haven't received the money, nor any reply to my emails...
LLE: The money was finally refunded. It's sad though that their customer service only reacts to negative reviews.

1/7 books arrived 👍🏻
I ordered 7 books at the same time. Received 1 after a few days, the rest never came.. after 20 days they wrote me that “i maybe wasn’t home, the post perhaps couldn’t find me, i added the wrong address” etc… and nonetheless the books got back to them, so they refund me the money without the delivery cost. Im sorry what? Did I just pay 7 eur for books i never saw? How would I add the wrong address if i got one of the books? How come I was not at home when i work remotely? How come the post didn’t find me yet didn’t leave a note?
Frustrating. Not recommended

Dubious business practice
This is a good example of a company which is too large to bother caring about its customers any longer.
I've been buying items from them for years from their various amazon platforms, usually without problems. On this occasion, the low-value item I ordered didn't arrive. I contacted them asking for a replacement (or refund if they didn't have another copy).
Good business practice is to apologise, offer the replacement/refund, and hope that it won't deter the customer from shopping with them again. Instead, they replied saying that they couldn't help unless I completed a "legally binding document" confirming that the item hadn't arrived. I doubt that assuming that the customer is lying unless they're prepared to legally confirm otherwise is common business practice, and certainly not when the item only costs a few euros.
If anyone from the company is thinking of writing a generic response, please don't. I won't be reading it or shopping from you again.

Book condition not as described
I ordered a hardcover book from Medimops via AbeBooks. The description stated "Binding, dust jacket (if any), etc may also be worn." The cost of the book was $50.23 and I was shocked of it's condition when it arrived.
The book itself has obvious pre-existing water damage. A third of the back cover was peeled off, the inside of the back cover is water stained with mold stains, and the top back pages of the book are also water damaged.
The description of the book did not state that the book had damage. :( Considering the price of the book, if I had known it was in this condition, I would not have purchased it.
I noticed that Medimops has another copy of the same book for sale on Amazon stating it's in "Excellent Condition". I wrote to see if it truly was in excellent condition and I received the following reply:
"Our items are described exactly by our colleagues in the goods examination and all data are taken over in the article description. We maintain our product details to the best of our knowledge and with all the information available to us."
Considering how their "Goods examination colleagues" described the mess I was sent, I would not trust them.
I Asked AbeBooks to reach out to them to see if they would do an exchange and they do not do exchanges, I was told I would have initiate a return and I would receive a refund for the book. The cost of shipping it with tracking from the US cost the same price as the book, so I am not a happy camper.
I've bought tons of books online and I've never had such issues.... it's huge disappointment and horrible business practice.
My first and last time ever ordering from them.

Predatory refund policy
Ordered a book about Psychology from Spain, costing 29,82€, and received an old Harry Potter book. Medimops offered a compensation refund of 8 euros to avoid the return (that could not be done from home as it had to be the cheapest and was complicated for us for health issues). It seems not reasonable to me to lose 22 euros for their mistake. Curiously the reply boasted "We always check all items before shipping and never send them if there is something wrong" what seems to me a liberal use of the words "always" and "never"

Beware of this practice
One star for the criminal activity of keeping the shipping fee when books are not in stock. I don't care if that's only 2 euro per book. The bottom line is, they think it's perfectly ok to help themselves to my money even though my order is not in stock and will never be shipped. Yep, that's criminal alright.

Ordered 3 books in a trilogy. Everything was in stock, then they wrote in the order status that the first book was unavailable. Could not cancel the order. Literal scam plain and simple.

Return scam
I ordered a book through eBay and arranged a return using the Cancellation and Return forms that medimops emailed to me at the time of purchase. In the beginning they were responsive and helpful, but I sent the return back 3 months ago (and the tracking shows that it arrived to their UK warehouse successfully) yet I still haven't received a refund. Now whenever I get in contact, I receive back the exact same automated email about not having received my return in Germany. They don't actually ever read my emails, nor do they address the fact that if the item got lost in transit between their 2 warehouses it's not my fault, since I did my part succesfully. Do not trust, they will take your returns back but not re-imburse you.

I have made quite a few 2nd hand orders…
I have made quite a few 2nd hand orders of English language books. Except for the odd wrong book, (which they replaced) I have been very happy with them. In Germany, they usually arrive within 2-3 days! Great service.
Awful customer service
Poorly designed website, not optimised for mobile. I purchased 3 books, but they added a 4th book I did not want and charged me for it. I emailed and called asking them to remove the random book I had not ordered but got no reply to the email and the customer care person shouted at me saying she cannot cancel or change orders (even though the order had just been completed minutes before and was not yet processed).
What's the point in having customer care if orders cannot be amended in the first few hours?
Why does your website add random unwanted items to the cart?
Also, why are customer care shouting at people?!
I was informed that I have to wait for the books to arrive (which will take 3-4 weeks), and then send the book back (on my own costs) to get a refund within 14 days. Makes absolutely no sense, and is really terrible customer service. Will never use the website again.
