THE WORST

The worst. A total fraud. My interaction with Dave spans over multiple years. I am sure I purchased someone else's laser that was sent in for repairs - and I have had it as a paperweight since. Lost over $24,000 on my transaction with Dave. He surfaced and promised to buy it back multiple times (to keep me at bay) and would then disappear when it came time to finalize the return purchase. It started with him over-drafting my business account by $500 for the purchase, then not delivering a unit for over 3 months. The unit he delivered was not safe to operate. He sent a repair person out who warned us about Dave's poor business practices. The handpiece had to be sent back for repairs, but we never got it back. I even asked for it to be returned unrepaired. I did have a Florida detective randomly call me about him, but this call was prior to me having any real issues. I made a call back to the detective a year later and I believe it is time to make some more phone calls.

We are another victim:

We are another victim:
Green Valley Aesthetics in Henderson, NV. We sent our Cutera EXCELHR Laser HR machine for repairs. Serial # EH10717 (If he sold this machine to you, please contact me!)
And we bought another machine that came broken. After 6 months of trying to get it repaired under warranty we are trying to get our money back.

“Dave” as he goes by is actually Samuel…

“Dave” as he goes by is actually Samuel David Lehrer. I purchased a Sciton BBL tabletop from him on EBay in 2019. He gave me the run around for months stating the laser was being repaired. I finally gave him an ultimatum and he delivered an old Sciton Profile. Not what I ordered or wanted. He flew in from FL to train my staff. He only trained them on the BBL and no other functions. He stated he would fly back within a month to complete training. We never heard back from him. We left him numerous messages, calls, emails, voicemails and nothing in return. Beware of this scam artist. He’s been doing it for years. Only buy new lasers and purchase from the company! I paid a huge $40,000 lesson with this POS!

David Lehrer is a scam artist

David Lehrer is a scam artist. His company told me I needed a radiator on my Sciton laser and took it to south Florida. When I got it back, he damaged my laser in transport and he put old parts on my laser. He also damaged my Erbium head so I could not use the laser. When we looked inside, he only changed a water filter and charged me $8500. He doesn’t return phone calls, and he has at least 6 to 8 businesses by different names in the state of Florida. I am filing a formal complaint with the attorney general in Florida and hopefully he will lose all ability to continue to rip people off. He really needs to go to jail.

Samuel David Lehrer AKA Dave took…

Samuel David Lehrer AKA Dave took $5,000 from us (Urban Podiatry LLC) in February 2020 to repair our Cutera Genesis Plus Laser and still has not completed the work. He has not returned any calls, texts, or emails requesting the work be completed or refund our money. Very frustrating.

Med Laser Experts (Samuel David Lehrer)-Disreputable Laser Repair Company

In 2019, I had my Lumenis Selecta II SLT laser serviced by a company known as Med Laser Experts (a/k/a Laser Repair Experts, Sciton Laser Experts). To make a long story short, my laser was functioning well but it periodically was indicating a warning code. As a result, after vetting the above named company, I was led to believe that this was their area of expertise and I hired them to service the problem. Not only did they keep my laser for 6 months, but when I received it back, it was nonfunctional. Subsequently, when I found out the owner's true name, Samuel David Lehrer (goes by Dave), I learned that many laser owners have had a similar experience with him and his companies. There have been lawsuits and at least one judgment entered against him.  Also, in 2018 there was an investigation and proceeding against him and 7 of his companies by the Florida Attorney General’s Office for deceptive and unfair trade practices towards consumers, resulting in civil penalties totaling at least $570,000 being assessed against him and his companies. He signed an Assurance of Voluntary Compliance with the Attorney General's Office at that time which evidently did not change his behavior (all of this information is public on line).
Unfortunately, I had to pursue legal remedies against Lehrer- after two years, a judgment was entered against him and his companies for fraud and deceptive and unfair trade practices, but I still have not been compensated for my damages. I feel like I have been violated and it has been an awful experience. As a result, I am forewarning my colleagues about Samuel David Lehrer in an effort to prevent what happened to me from happening to others. Caveat emptor!
