Update: return policy and excellent customer service
I was initially very upset because of the return policy (customers have to pay the return costs, which I don't consider ideal in an online shopping experience).
However the company's customer service did a stellar job at of solving my issue with the return costs. They were friendly and attentive, turning what was a sour experience in a really great one. I have since then ordered again since their products are top-notch and very well priced.
I still suggest a review of the return policies though. Other than that keep up with the good job. Recommended.

First of all, thank you for your review. I obviously understand the point you are making, and would first like to emphasize that it is certainly not our intention to discourage returns. However, there is a clear difference here between the German and Dutch markets. In Germany it is much more common that the return costs are also for the seller than in the Netherlands. I understand that for your purchase of 56 euros in this case you had to pay 11 euros costs to the postal service, but unfortunately these are the same costs that we also pay for shipping to and from Germany. I will also get back to you on this directly via email to see how we can still come to a solution in some way.

Great choice of reasonably priced Japanese knives
Meesterslijpers (or Knifeworld) have an incredibly nice webshop with a great choice of reasonably priced Japanese knives. The goods I ordered arrived in no time, were meticulously packaged - and had obviously undergone some first class quality control. I'm more than happy with this experience and am definitely going to come back for more.

Absolutely great!
I was looking for Hedwig Pie bird in Germany and couldn't find it anywhere, only used.
Masterslijpers popped up and thought "give it a try!".
I will be a new customer because the delivery was so great and so fast (under 24 hours) and the package came save without any dents.

Great company and website
Whenever I sent a question someone would get back to me quickly with an answer. The prices are very reasonable. The website has thorough descriptions and helpful was to search and filter. Once I placed my order I was updated regularly and got my knife quickly. I'll be shopping here for all my future knife purchases.
