BBB "F" Rating with over 130 complaints
I signed up with Ava Finance to help build my credit, but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating and damaging. At first, it seemed like it might work, but things quickly went downhill when I ran into a problem with their mobile app. I couldn't switch the payment account I was using to cover the monthly charge, and despite reaching out to customer support multiple times, I was constantly redirected back to the app, which wasn’t working.
As a result, Ava Finance reported an 30-day missed payment to the credit bureaus. This mistake has had a severe impact on my credit score, much worse than any potential benefit I could have gotten from using their service.
Like many of you, I use Trustpilot to make decisions on whether to use a service or not. I really wish I had checked Ava Finance’s BBB rating beforehand, as it’s an F with over 130 complaints against them. If I had known this, I would have avoided them entirely.
Now, I'm left paying hundreds of dollars to a credit repair company to try and fix the damage caused by Ava Finance’s mistake. So, be warned: if you run into any issues with their app or connecting accounts, they won't provide adequate support, and their mistakes can seriously damage your credit.
Stay far away from Ava Finance!

I’ve been using Ava for about a year…
I’ve been using Ava for about a year now, and the results honestly speak for themselves. When I started, my credit score was 462, and today it’s 647. That kind of improvement felt impossible before Ava. The platform is easy to use, clear, and actually educational I finally understand why my score is moving instead of just guessing. Ava helped me build better habits, stay consistent, and track progress without stress. If you’re serious about improving your credit and want a tool that actually works over time, Ava is absolutely worth it. I’m really glad I stuck with it.
Great for credit builder

I was Scammed
The two subscriptions that are supposed to be covered under my Ava credit card were not paid. I now do not have the services but Ava has my payments and my personal information. I don’t even know how to cancel my subscription. Reached out to customer service and no one answered me for days and then finally they say someone will help and a week later nothing. Also, there is a loan they apparently help you with that you pay $26 monthly for and they have a lock on it and will not give you your money back and zero option to make an early payment and just withdraw all of your money. My score has gone down also bc they pulled my credit to initiate this “loan” I am so disappointed.

I haven’t noticed any changes in my actual credit score my score on Experian doesn’t match the one on the app
Since joining the Ava app
Since joining the Ava app, my credit score has increased by 147 points, and I honestly couldn’t be happier. Ava made it easy to understand what was hurting my credit and showed me clear, realistic steps to fix it. The app breaks everything down in a way that’s simple and not overwhelming, which kept me motivated to stay consistent.
I love how Ava tracks progress and gives helpful insights instead of just showing numbers. Seeing my score steadily go up gave me confidence and peace of mind about my financial future. If you’re serious about improving your credit and want a tool that actually works, Ava is 100% worth it.

If there was a negative star
If there was a negative star, that's what they'll get from me!! I requested for my account to be close for the past 6 months, they won't close it and keep reporting me to the bureaus for being 120 days late! Such assholes!!! They'll ruin your credit instead of helping you build it. Do not fall for the hype, they're not out to help you, but only to line their own pockets. Once they receive the legal papers from my attorney, they'll know what time it is! JERKS!!! I should've known this was too good to be true!!! ASSHOLES!!!
