It is such a pity that good intentions are destroyed by their own founder Andrew Bott, who is harassing his own members and accusing them of things without any ground, insulting with inappropriate messages. I have never seen such an aggressive administration of a group from a founder himself, with improper tone and accusations without any grounds. Not to mention, their events and pitches are extremely expensive for the value provided. I will not recommend anyone to join. There are much more ethical and better organizations in the UK and the USA that help with pitches and hold free pitch events. And above all, with proper communication style and respect to their members and participants.

I wouldn't attend the next event for that price!

I recently pitched at a pitching event from MeetFounders where it was supposed to be 300 attendees and 40+ VCs and there were several things that in my opinion were not good for startups.

First of all the high cost for what they offered. In the particular event I attended, we paid £390 and we managed to pitch at a panel for 5 minutes.

The panel for the pitches arrived 1 hour after the predefined time and they were mostly quiet through all the pitches. Also, there were barely any investors throughout the whole event.

One of the talks I attended had only two out of the 4 people that were supposed to be there and it was a basic chat about upcoming trends.

I send a complaint email after the event, but haven't gotten an answer so far...

Aside from all that, the reception and the volunteers were great.

Andrew Bott

Andrew Bott - You managed to create the diversity I am seeking. Why you intervened, threw me off. Your success = all our success. Applause to you!!!

The story does need to be told. And we do need to be passionate.

And your tech platform - Hopin - integration was extremely challenging. The networking part at the end, great idea, but fizzled quickly.

Best of Luck going forward. Praise for making diversity a goal. Julia

It was a great and informative seminar

It was a great and informative seminar. It will be nice to have some more. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is that there wasn't any information on how companies can pitch in future events, and when the future events will happen.

I think it was well organised and generated some interesting discussions. I am sure that as the event picks up more momentum and attention from founders and investors, it will become a much sought after event and community.

The event went well apart from a small technical glitch I had. But I think the pitch length at 4 mins is probably too short and the questions and feedback weren't really very useful. Maybe have less companies spending a little more time - what about opening up questions to visitors and not just the panel?

Thanks for organising it.

Well worth it.

Good range of presentations from panels who are clearly experienced and experts in the field. It was good of several presenters to offer themselves for follow-up contact which is rare. The online platform worked well enough. Good hosts who chaired the sessions well and kept the right tone.

The networking mainly included participants from the audience rather the presenters. It would be good if a wider range of presenters also joined those networking sessions.

I learned a lot over the 2 sessions. Well worth the time and small charge. I can happily recommend.

Great Energy

It was an insightful event and loved the energy from the event from the Andrew (host and founder of MeetFounders), panelists, start-ups and other attendees.
