While I was in fashion I noticed 2 other girls not working actually laughing and giggling because they are apparently in high school and not at work literally picking on another employee Brandi who was just doing her job. This place disgusts me only reason I go in is to see old employees that care about this store but are all being played . Union needs to get in there immediately.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday, not like any other day at Meijer, there were no small carts at he grocery entrance, No Red baskets at the grocery side at the Tittabassee store in Saginaw MI. One red basket was available, but was unable to remove it from the stand. So I literally dragged it around. I ran into a manager, wish I got his name, said to him, there are no small carts or red carry carts. He seemed totally unaware to the issue which I'm sure he was as he was strolling around produce aisles looking clueless. I want though the checkout and when I was leaving, there were miraculously approximately 10 red carry totes at the door. No greeter as there usually. Seems to be a policy on weekends and Holidays to "hide" the smaller carts and baskets to prom
ote using the large carts to "impel" shoppers to fill the larger carts. Simply Ridiculous!!

Lots of good qualities, with a couple of products overpriced

I shop at the Ypsilanti Meijer store, because of it being only about a mile and a half from my home. My likes and dislikes are below.

Likes:

1) 90% of the prices for their products are among the lowest among supermarkets in my area. They really beat out Kroger and Busch's Valueland!

2) Their produce is the best quality.

3) They offer a great selection of products.

4) They offer a great selection of brand names.

5) They reward customers with PERKS (points earned on purchases) and coupons to defray their costs.

6) Their customer service is fairly good most of the time. Justin and Greg do a great job.

Dislikes:

1) Some of their prices are unreasonable, like their Welch's Light Concord Grape Juice and Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin bread, which are way too expensive!

2) Too often, their stockers block aisles.

3) Many of their pharmacy staff are unfriendly.

4) Not enough aisles are open.

Be very careful when shopping here

Be very careful when shopping here. Always check expiration dates. They have tons of expired stuff on their shelves. Particularly meats and dairy that I have found to be a month or more past expiration. Also their pharmacy really struggles to get prescriptions filled on time, leaving me without my medications for days at a time. I’m switching to another store/pharmacy. It’s just gotten kind of ridiculous

Best quality for the cost

Best quality for the cost. Meijer offers reasonable prices with higher quality, especially on things like meat and vegetable compared to other big box and discount food stores like Walmart, Aldi and Sav-a-lot. The number of wrong prices, mis-located product and lazy employees has greatly increased since COVID...

Check the expiration dates!!!!!

Been shopping Meijer for years, not better or worse than other options but.....WATCH EXPIRATION DATES ON EVERYTHING! Especially refrigerated items. Routinely find items that expired weeks or months earlier on the shelves (finally took a package of black olives off the shelf I had looked at for 2-3 months that looked like it contained sludge). Staff regularly blocks aisles as they re-stock and make it difficult to impossible to reach what you are looking for. I was yelled at by staff for entering an aisle they had blocked off to clean up a water spill - they blocked the entire aisle when the spill was in the center taking up about 5 feet of floor space - my selection (at the end of the aisle) was nowhere near the spill. Routinely only open 1 or 2 full service checkouts.

Meijer Is My Go To Store

Meijer is my go to store, each Sunday after Church and sometimes during the week if I have a new prescription or refill to pickup. 75% of all my shopping, Food, Drinks, Paper Products and purchase most of our Clothing are purchased at Meijer. The Fresh Meat, Poultry, Fruits and Veggies are always fresh. Prices are compatible to other Stores in the area and even cheaper than one other Grocery Chain Located in Champaign, Urbana and Savoy.

Where do I begin?!

Where do I begin?!

Okay, having three separate apps/logins for Meijer M Perks, Meijer Pharmacy, and Meijer RX History, is insane!
The RX History only opens to a blank white screen. Utterly useless.
The Meijer App displays a "Oops, we're idiots, and something went wrong" message 5 times out of ten.
And that's if it doesn't just glitch out and freezes with the rotating "Duh, we don't know what to do" icon.

Then there's the fact that it always takes three days to refill a prescription. And spare me the 3 excuses. It's not normal, it's not necessary, and it's not acceptable. No other pharmacy does this. And Meijer's doesn't need to, but the company is run by inept, spoiled fools.

Three days ago, I placed a refill order for two prescriptions. The app repeatedly said that it couldn't refill RX #1, just RX #2.
Okay, fine. I'll call and get it fixed.

Pharmacy rep on the phone: "I'm not here to answer questions."
Okay, well then you're also not here to take my money?

Three days later, when picking up RX #2, they couldn't see the order request.
But RX #1, that supposedly couldn't be refilled, was ready for pickup! WTF?!?!?!?

Then there are the prices store-wide, which aren't any better than anyone else's anymore.

Or their sub-par brand of food, etc. that is awful. Unfortunately, because they're trying to push their own garbage, the selection at Meijer isn't what it used to be.

Meijer no longer has anything special or good, and has left me with no reason to return.

Mind you, I'm 57, I've been shopping here since 1978 when it was still a Meijer Thrifty Acres.
My entire family USED to shop at Meijer exclusively. Over the past FIVE DECADES, we have spent roughly $1.7 million dollars on groceries, automotive items, sporting goods, home-goods, cookware, birthday and Christmas presents, and prescriptions.
$1,700,000!!!!

As of today however, we're done. We will never set foot in another Meijer ever again. Not even if you paid us.

I hope that I live long enough to see this once great store topple.

May God have mercy on your worthless souls.

This was my goto store for 40 years

This was my goto store for 40 years. No more. Their customer service is horrible. Good luck getting any service, good or bad, at any of their counters. I just use our regional chain now, I don't pay much more and the service is much better.

Meijer STEALS FROM THE POOR!!

Meijer STEALS FROM THE POOR!!!
Meijer RIPS OFF SNAP RECIPIENTS!!!
Meijer RIPS OFF POOR DISABLED AND ILL SENIORS!!!
Meijer delayed my 12-22-25 LATE DELIVERY TWICE.
It had been shopped more than 5 hours earlier.
When groceries were received, everything frozen
was thawed, room temp and damaged.
Everything perishable was room temp and damaged.
Meijer refuses to refund or replace anything for
all of this inedible food.
Meijer left me with NOTHING TO EAT for Christmas.

Previously they delayed or canceled orders several times for no reason and still took my money. I will not accept being bought off with 10,000
MPerks I will never get, like has been done
to me twice previously. Nor will I accept a credit
of $15 that I never got.
Meijer quibbling over $100.00 + of unusable food when their net worth is 18.3 billion is petty beyond belief and heartless.

BE AWARE

BE AWARE: This has nothing to do with the products in store near me. The one star rating is because of an incident that took place in that store. In early very early January, I fell on a slippery floor in the Meijer store me. The fall was so serious that I was taken via ambulance to the Emergency Room at my local hospital where a CAT scan and other tests were run. That was followed by a visit to my PCP where a concussion was determined.
I have witnesses to the fall and, after a snowfall, the parking lot had not been sufficiently iced. There were no warning signs of a possible slippery floor near where I fell. I was called by Meijer Risk Management and told to call them about this incident. I have now done that more than 15 times with no response. I have also called corporate customer service and they have been unable to receive a response. This is untenable.
I am submitting this review as a warning to others, should something like this happen to them. I am also writing this because Meijer Risk Management has left me no choice. It's been more than three weeks since this incident took place.Perhaps, this review will prompt a response. Who knows.

The manager at this store named "Doug"

The manager at this store thinks its okay to let your pets roam around the store. NOT SERVICE PETS, clearly just PETS. Someone needs to tell the manager of the Jeffersonville Indiana store, Doug, that THAT'S AGAINST THE LAW TO HAVE PETS AROUND OPEN FOOD! I hate this Meijer, their prices are about 15% higher than Kroger and their staff is terrible.

Meijer deli in Highland

Meijer deli in Highland, Indiana is the worst in this entire area. They are slow as molasses…no worse! They talk to each other instead of servicing the customers. I dread when I need to stop at Meijer’s deli. You need an entire day to do just this!

Exceptional Meijer Manager. Store#131

I am writing to formally commend Lonnie, Store Manager at the East Washington Street Meijer in Indianapolis, Indiana, Store #131, for his outstanding leadership, professionalism, and exceptional commitment to customer and community service.
During a recent Thanksgiving community outreach initiative hosted by our church, an unexpected issue arose when our pre-arranged turkey order was not fulfilled correctly at the meat department level. This error had the potential to jeopardize our entire outreach event, which was scheduled to serve families in need on a very tight timeline.
Lonnie immediately intervened and quite literally saved the day—and the entire project.
With calm authority and exceptional leadership, he de-escalated the situation, took full ownership of the problem, and worked diligently to ensure a solution was reached. Through his direct involvement and determination, Lonnie ensured that we were able to secure approximately 35–40 turkeys on the day of the event, allowing our Thanksgiving giveaway to proceed as planned.
What truly set Lonnie apart was his willingness to go above and beyond standard expectations. He personally delivered the turkeys to our church on the morning of the event, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and peace of mind for our volunteer team and the families we served. His actions demonstrated not only operational excellence but genuine care for the community.
Throughout this entire process, Lonnie exemplified the highest standards of professionalism. He was kind, gracious, patient, solution-focused, and exceptionally helpful. His leadership reflected integrity, accountability, and a deep commitment to service—qualities that are increasingly rare and immensely valuable.
Additionally, as a long-time resident who has lived near the East Washington Street Meijer for over eight years, I can confidently state that this location is by far one of the cleanest, most organized, and best-managed Meijer stores in the city of Indianapolis. The condition of the store, the consistency of operations, and the customer experience clearly reflect strong and effective management.
As a business owner and administrator myself, I recognize excellence when I see it. Meijer is extremely fortunate to have Lonnie as a leader within its organization. He is a tremendous asset to the company, to his team, and to the broader community he serves.
Lonnie should be formally recognized and commended for his exceptional leadership, community commitment, and unwavering dedication to excellence.
Respectfully submitted,
Denise C. Moore

Two black females were racially profiled in your store. The two ladies had never been to Meijer and was visiting the area. The police were called and the two women were just shopping. They were accused of trying to steal items. I have never shopped at this store and I never will!
