Exceptionally bad

I don't normally bother with reviews but Menzies really are exceptionally bad. They don't really seem to do anything with missing bag reports other than Email airports and they don't follow anything up. They don't update you on anything. Eventually we found out that we'd been removed from their systems and they weren't even pretending to do anything about our three pieces of missing baggage any more but we had to call them to find that out, again no communication from them.

Very poorly handled luggage, non existent staffs and just bad overall.

My luggage was handled so poorly and mistreated that the wheels on my BRAND new luggage was destroyed beyond use, the case was scratched up as well. We couldn't get a hold of them for more than an hour running around at the airport, calls never were picked up and the one time it did they said they can't do anything about it and hung up abruptly.

Until I met one of the attendent that told us they do not cover for luggage damages unless the luggage is pried open, all we can do is file a complaint report.

HORRIBLE is and Understatement

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE!! HORRIBLE!!! Customer Service form this wannabe Company.

There is no rating low enough for them and our incentive for writing this is because we want to warn everyone about them........

There is absolutely nothing positive to say about them they have created such an unhospitable and stressful environment for anyone who has to deal with them.

There is no one at there counter in Edinburgh, the phone isn't even connected, they will NEVER contact you (phone or email), and if you want to actually speak to them you will have to wait at least 45 minutes on the phone or longer. We totalled our calls for three days and figured we wasted over 9.5 hours most of which was trying to get through.

If you want to get anything done you will need to keep calling them to make sure there is progress as was our experience or nothing will get done. We met two families that had been waiting over four days with no communications with Menzies at all WOW!!

They are full of excuses as to why things are not progressing and even when you volunteer to pick your luggage up they will give you a million excuses why you cannot pick up your own luggage. Seems like a scam to us.

Great team at Bucharest Airport!

Just at want share my fantastic experience with the Menzies Aviation team at Bucharest airport. They were superb!

I stupidly left my iPad on a plane, and despite it flying off to another country, the Menzies Team managed to get the iPad back to me before my next flight (with 30 minutes to spare!).

The thing that’s so commendable is that Christina and the team went so far past the extra mile and turned a bad day into a great one. Thank you Menzies!

Truly awesome rude menzies aviation staff at Cluj airport.

Went to visit Romania cluj for a festival. On departure the airport staff were so rude!. We booked a flight with wizz air that had changed its departure time by over 4 hours and thus did not allow us to check in online. We showed this proof to the check in staff who didn't care at all. They forced us to pay €96 just to check on top of the flights we already paid for because of an error on the airlines website.

They said pay or you don't go. One rude check in staff was extremely unpleasant and verbally aggressive for no reason. After telling her she was rude she told us not to visit again. She refused to give her name but we managed to get an image and another staff told us her name was Andrea florina. She's extremely aweful and aggressive and rude and a bad example of the people that work for menzies at the airport. The supervisor was equally rude. I didnt manage to get his name. He was of no help and told us to contact wizz air who don't have ANY workers who work at the airport. And then gave us a premium rate number to call. No one answered that also.

We enjoyed the festival UNTOLD but would never visit the country again due to how rude and abusive the staff are that work at cluj airport.

Offloaded bags - 18 days later, still waiting

On 9 July we requested in EDI that our bags be offloaded from BA, after the airline told us that our onward connection in LHR would be missed. This was confirmed by BA's check-in agent. We then booked an EasyJet direct flight to Basel. However 3 hours later, Menzies had not still returned our bags, and we had to fly without them (despite having paid the EasyJet checked-bag tariff).

Guess what: One bag got to us on 16 July (having come via LHR). The other bag, today 26 July, has been traced as still in Edinburgh. Menzies did not reply to any enquiries, and one cannot but wonder why they lost all contracts in France and Germany. However they still operate in countries like Mexico - all over the shop, in fact - which tells us quite something about the quality of their service.

Menzies should have stuck to station bookstalls. Few newspapers get lost between the counter staff and the customer. And low value of product ensures that losses are minimal.

Don't count on Menzies Aviation to deliver

After arriving in Johannesburg yesterday, the tracker in my suitcase indicated that it was still at the airport in Istanbul. Staff at the lost luggage counter told me the suitcase would be on the next flight, i.e., arrive the next day and would be delivered to my hotel.
The next day, the tracker indicated the suitcase had arrived at the Johannesburg airport around midday, but it did not move for hours. Neither of the phone numbers given to me by Menzies Aviation were operational. I sent them an email and quickly got a response that the suitcase had been handed to a courier and was on its way. However, the tracking chip still indicated the suitcase hadn’t moved. After a while, I followed up again, but this time I did not get an answer. I followed the travels of my suitcase for many miles, several times it came very close to my hotel (2-3 minutes), but it was never delivered. Instead, it moved away each time to about 30-35 minutes delivery time. There was no response from Menzies Aviation, and it was impossible to raise someone at Turkish Airlines. Oh, and the reference number does not work with Turkish Airlines’ tracking system.
Update: my suitcase was delivered to the hotel around midnight. However, the driver gave a wrong room number so the concierge did not call me. My suitcase is scratched, and my name tag is missing.

Dreadful, arrogant, aggressive staff

Dreadful, arrogant and officious staff this morning at London Heathrow. Refused to give me their names and used the urgency of the flight leaving to force me onto the flight without my bag that weighed 7.25kg. Watch out for Kim and Davesh. Managers glenda ford and Carlos fuentes…

Managers glenda ford and Carlos fuentes had me work 12 hour shifts but would pay me 5 hours only. No lunch breaks allowed. for every 12 hours I worked i get paid 5 hours only. So I'd work 6 hours for free daily. Company is fraud I have screen shots and scientific evidence of the companies labor scams.

Severe delays with bags

We waited 2h for our bags after returning from Faro to London Luton. Lots of other flights were also affected. It was an absolute chaos. How can Luton airport continue to use their services is beyond comprehension.

Last night when the flight was…

Last night when the flight was cancelled all passengers were sent downstairs to Gate 6 on the basis that we would be able to book a different flight, As we arrived downstairs no one was present and all passengers were left confused stranded as we could not exit the building. Eventually staff arrived and were very unhelpful an IC4 male easy jet member of staff addressed me as bro I found this to be very offensive as I was the only who was addressed in this manner from the IC4 male easy jet staff member and this made me feel horrible as I could only come to the conclusion that I was addressed in this manner due to my skin colour (IC3). I walked over to the staff member to ask why I was addressed in the manner and he did not answer and answered a phone call. Two very aggressive easy jet member of staff kept on asking for my boarding pass I walked away and kept on being followed and told security are coming and the police were on there way to arrest me after I have not done anything. As I had not done anything I walked away and waited for my luggage to arrive from the conveyor belt 6 and footage will show both the IC3 & IC4 members of staff following me and coming very close to my personal space.

We were a family of nine

We were a family of nine, and we were all extremely disappointed with the professionalism and the customer service of (Female Officer - Check In Agent LGW 137 agent) and at Menzies Aviation was horrific whilst attempting to obtain our boarding passes and check in our luggage.

We would never travel with your firm Menzies Aivation and Wizz Air or use your services again if your employees provide such terrible treatment to their clients, and we would want to submit this concern to the Head department! This is not the type of behaviour and customer service that Menzies Aviation should exhibit while providing a service for which we have paid.

Menzies shut the door on the way out !

Wow Menzies you are truly awful ! how easy jet contract this shower I will never understand
Once again hour wait for bags once again at Luton airport even though the bags were being taken off as soon as we landed so hundreds of people hanging around swearing to never again take a suitcase on holiday as the wait for it to turn up on the carousel is unbearable
I travel every week from Spain and always at Luton airport Menzies let the whole side down it’s the same every time

Awful experience with extremely untrained staff

Awful experience at the Aer lingus counter this morning with a colleague called Hannah. Firstly, was rude and had extremely poor customer service skills. As my elderly father moved closer to read a sign where instructions were written she abruptly exclaimed “Are you blind?”, personally believe that nobody should be spoken to in this manner. To make the situation worse, she was clearly confused on the correct documentation needed and falsely claimed that a visa was needed for one of the children. Time should be taken to properly train staff on basic manners and correct policy regulations.

I got denied boarding at Budapest…

I got denied boarding at Budapest airport after my boarding pass was already issued. That was just because the employee at the counter is not aware of visa requirements despite I provided her witg all necessary documents and information which says that I'm eligible to obtain a visa upon arrival. It's disappointing when someone lack of experience can ruin your trip just because she has the power to do so!
