I have been w Mercury for 26 years and of course, my premiums continue to increase steadily, (even w no claims) but that's to be expected here in CA. The issue I have is that I got a small discount on my auto policy for having AAA; they asked for a copy of the card, (which apparently didn't provide at first) so they charged me back the $75 discount that I got. I saw this new bill and called to ask why and they told me, so I sent my AAA card again, (within the six month policy period) showing I have been a member for over 3yrs but they said they wouldn't accept that for the current term, only the next...total joke...I showed documentation within the policy period that I qualified for the discount but instead of just moving on, they are insisting I pay the $75, (so I didn't get the discount even though I qualify for it)...typical "nickel and dimers." This is what you'll get w them so beware!

Thought it was a great idea to leave my current provider of 12 + years and go with a cheaper rate they qoute you low and a couple months later send a bill saying the analized the house and I need to pay 25% more poor business model customer service sucks just another shitty insurance company ceo's probably wanted to get new boats for havasue, lets truck our customers over. Don't bother with them

Regarding the cancellation fee for HOMEOWNERS POLICY, I spoke to Michelle from Mercury March 24, 2026. She said that I cancelled my homeowners policy on February 28, 2026. She emailed me "Homeowners Application Form" and referred to the clause FEES AND COMMISSION: ... If the policy is cancelled, at your request, within the first policy term, an additional $50.00 service fee will apply. However, I did not cancel my policy effective February 28, 2026 (within the first policy term). Instead, I communicated with InsuranceOne to release my policy on March 01, 2026 (policy expiration date outside the first policy term). I signed "CANCELLATION REQUEST / POLICY RELEASE" specified March 01, 2026. Per Mercury's instruction, I called and spoke to two reps from InsureOne in the past week. Both said either themself or the manager will call me back to resolve this issue. However I never received any call from InsureOne.
