Metricool Review: Beware of Unfair Auto-Renewal Practices

I recently had a frustrating experience with Metricool regarding their auto-renewal practices. The invoice and charge for my subscription renewal were processed simultaneously at 1:45 a.m., leaving no opportunity for advance notice or to cancel before being charged. I reached out to their support team by 6:00 a.m., using both email addresses they had on file for my account (as shown on the invoice and receipt). However, they claimed they couldn’t locate my account with either email and refused to issue a refund, citing their terms and conditions.

While I understand the importance of terms and conditions, their lack of transparency and failure to provide proper notice for the renewal left me unable to make an informed decision. Additionally, their system’s inability to recognize my account despite charging me raises serious concerns about their customer management practices.

I immediately canceled the auto-renewal to prevent future charges, but I am disappointed by the lack of accountability and unwillingness to resolve this issue. If you are considering using Metricool, I strongly recommend being cautious about their auto-renewal policies and lack of customer support.

You can access your account at any time to cancel your subscription and avoid being charged for the next billing cycle. This ensures you have full control over your renewal preferences.

The 15-day right of withdrawal applies only to the initial purchase of the subscription and not to renewals. This policy is outlined in our Terms and Conditions, which users agree to when creating a Metricool account and before completing their first payment. These practices are consistent with industry standards and comply with all legal requirements.

Regarding performance, we understand your concern about the performance of posts published through Metricool. It’s important to note that we use the official APIs of each social network, which means that the performance of posts mainly depends on the algorithms and policies of each platform, not on the tool used. Beware: Metricool is Devious

Metricool is fine in terms of its functionality. However, their customer support is abrasive (to say the least) when it comes to customer renewal, and the customer no longer wants to renew. Too bad. If you use PayPal, what happens is they bill you, debit your bank, and refuse to issue a refund, even on the same day you are notified of their billing. Why? They claim their service requires a 15-day advance notice of the customer's intention to cancel. Wow. This is quite arrogant, especially when the customer receives no advance warning that the renewal date is at hand.

It's not bad but not great either

It's not bad but not great either. Australia never comes up as an option but Aus Post does? I've complained a few months ago and they said they would fix but it's still the same

After a detailed review by our technical team, we can confirm that this is not a Metricool bug. It turns out that Meta has recently updated how locations work. Previously, you could select generic locations like a city or a country. Now, they only allow very specific locations, such as businesses or individual stores.

Clear, easy, and EFFECTIVE

Leslie was able to troubleshoot my issue (certain pages not syncing correctly so I was missing some needed data) and help get it fixed in virtually no time at all! She was pleasant, professional, and (at least temporarily) restored my faith in the tech universe!

Quick and efficient help!

I had a problem signing in to Metricool, (my fault!), so I contacted them and a lovely and very patient lady called Vanessa helped sort it all out.
