Metro Screenworks had a great service in sending samples. I needed to confirm that a smaller sized spline (0.285 flat spline) would fit. I couldn't find the smaller flat spline anywhere else and the sample (received in just a few days) confirmed that it would work. I ordered 2,000 feet the next day.
