HEX nos DAC

Very happy that Metrum came on my way.
Huge improvement of my sound with the HEX DAC and still very satisfied.
Som small software issue was solved in a minute by Phone.

I have been a customer of Metrum Acoustics for a number of years, and consider myself incredibly fortunate to have found them.

From a customer service perspective, I have always found the Metrum team to be responsive, polite and helpful. On the only occasion I have experienced a technical issue, it was resolved quickly and to my complete satisfaction. I have to say that such great customer service is worth a lot; these products are not exactly cheap and it is reassuring to know that you are well cared for after the purchase.

From a product perspective, what can I say? I am a devoted Metrum Acoustics fan. I currently own a Metrum Acoustics Musette, a Metrum Acoustics Aurix and, until recently, owned a Metrum Acoustics Onyx which I have just upgraded to the Metrum Acoustics Adagio. Their DACs are genuinely World class. The build quality and finish is stunning, and pride of ownership is immense.

I do not believe you will find a better DAC from any company. Please, buy with confidence!

Great products but on a simple Question if it was possible to get a test product I have never got an answer. This was better before. For now only 3 stars. Should be looked at.

I bought Metrum lowest DAC model 6 years ago and until now it still performs well in transparency and musicality. I would not say on par with other high end non-sampling R2R tube DAC models and make which costs much more but if you hook it with valve gear, it is very hard to hear the difference. I cannot imagine how Metrum latest higher end would sound like but certainly more sensation.

While Metrum has moved on from its earlier DACs, they still rank with the finest DACs. In short, Metrum's engineers are far more talented than other audio engineers.

Other engineers dismiss NOS, No-Over-Sampling, DACs because it is just so much easier to filter at higher frequencies. Metrum keeps the signal pure and delivers an immediacy that far more expensive components cannot approach.

Metrum brings you closer to the music as it really is. Metrum involves you. Competitors may soothe you more, but you will listen to music less frequently.

The Hex has performed flawlessly for 4.5 years. It exceeded expectations in 2014 and continues to wow and impress. It has allowed me to upgrade my system around it. Quite literally, it is now the oldest piece of my entire setup. Which is to say, at this point, it still is not the weakest link.

My audiophile heart is set on Adagio next. Although the Hex may go, I wouldn't think of replacing Metrum. It is "a company you keep." They are a most ethical engineering-oriented company with a high-value line of products. ... and they manage to do it while keeping EU engineers, craftsmen and staff employed.

i have an onyx. excellent converter. when i discovered that the usb receiver is powered by the source and i mailed the company about that, they did not understand my question and my mail was blocked.
anyone knows that the performance of electronics start with a good power supply. so i think the service is very bad since there is a new eco

update : for the record i never asked them to modify the power supply, i just wanted an answer.
i do not need them to build a perfect power supply for the usbmodule, i build one myself with excellent results.

so again, very bad service

They are simply stunning! The quality of their products is excellent, and their customer service is wonderful! Kind, professional, extremely qualified and always helpful. Very recommended in every aspect!!!

Very good personalised service and an exceptional product. I was advised as per my requirement and additional tips from Sundar, Metrum India's representative has helped me enhance my system to a truly different level of auditory experience. The product itself, Metrum Jade needs no introduction into audiophile community as it is known as one of the best DACs money can buy. Metrum's presentation is the closest I have come to a vinyl experience without losing out on details for this price. It has a very lush sound which is also being at the same time, more forgiving of a poor source than other DACs that I have heard and very non fatiguing. You can hear this one for a long time without getting fed up.
