A wonderful week at the Michelangelo Resort and Spa

Had a wonderful week in Kos at this hotel, the food and staff are amazing and the facilities are well maintained, clean and tidy. A stand out member of the team was Alina who ran the beach bar. She made us feel welcomed and had such a warm nature about her, she helped to make her or holiday very special.

Stayed for a week on half board

Stayed for a week on half board. Due to a late arrival at our hotel ( flight delayed and long transfer ) around midnight local time, we were given a filled roll and some fruit, not a plated cold meal as would be expected at a five star hotel. Our fridge had not been filled with the expected drinks, only water, which we had paid extra for! Not a wonderful start. However, things improved in the morning with daylight, warm sun and a lovely view of the sea.
Our suite was well furnished, large comfortable bed apart from the pillows which appeared to be filled with loose foam, very poor! The bathroom was well appointed but with nowhere to put anything apart from one hook by the shower. Good supply of towels and nice large pool towels. We did have to ask for our room fridge to be topped up with beer most days as it didn’t seem to be automatic, often having to wait some time or request again at reception!

Our room maid Ena was lovely and nothing was too much trouble for her if we needed anything.
Breakfast and dinner choices were excellent and of a high standard. There was often a queue at dinner for a table, mostly at popular times as the hotel was busy. The staff tried their best to clear and serve but often there was a wait for tea and coffee at breakfast.
The hotel area was always spotless and availability of beds good, although there was the usual booking of beds which was supposed to be discouraged.
The pools were large but cold so not overused.
The evening entertainment was mostly enjoyable but there was definitely a shortage of seating in the bar area which consequently filled up early in the evening, I would say this needs addressing as there was room for more seating with tables.
The hotel is set on its own with a lot of steps down to the so called beach. There are sun beds but the beach is stony and black with a board walk as not suitable to walk on.
There is a bus service into Kos from the hotel with a timetable which is popular so get to the bus stop early both at the hotel and in town as it is often very busy.
Over all our holiday was most enjoyable with friendly staff, especially at reception and a nice ambiance. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Wonderful hotel, spectacular views.

This is a truly wonderful holiday destination. I researched Michelangelo Resort and Spa before booking and after staying there I totally agree with all of the excellent reviews for this hotel. Our two week all inclusive holiday in May 2022 was simply wonderful, we were very impressed. We have travelled widely and stayed in fine hotels and we always expect high standards. This hotel delivered in spades, the staff are smart, friendly and professional, they can’t do enough for you. Special mention to Maria on the reception, to Alex serving drinks at the infinity pool and to Adina in the hotel bar. We were pleasantly surprised with the quality of the all inclusive cocktails and the superb bar service, not to mention the lovely ambiance and surroundings. Our room was also excellent and the views spectacular. Every inch of this hotel is spotless, it looks nice on YouTube etc however it’s even better in real life. The buffet restaurant was great and the three special alacarte options each week provided a nice change. The Asian restaurant was top quality, the Prosecco breakfast by the pool was delightful and the Mediterranean restaurant felt really special. I can’t fault this lovely hotel, the hotel manager went out of his way to correct a minor issue for us too. You really get the feeling that the staff take great pride in their work and they want you to have the best holiday possible. We will definitely return to Michelangelo Resort and Spa.

You must stay at Michelangelo Resort & Spa

We have stayed at Michelangelo about 4 times now because of the staff, the quality of the rooms, the service in replenishing amenities and cleanliness of the rooms. They have wonderful entertainment in the evenings and the food is amazing, you won't be disappointed. It is definitely a 5* resort in all aspects. Location is brilliant as you are away from the town but with easy transport into town should you wish to visit. The thermal is a short bus ride from the hotel. The views are so beautiful. It is one of our favourite hotels and we are very happy to recommend this to anyone. Thank you Michalis (Manager), Stelios (Bar Manager) and Gina and Nina for making our stay such a wonderful one, even better than the 3 times previously which was difficult to do but you all did it.
