Updated. After reviews left, money refunded.

Bought a monitor. A week later, it goes on sale. They offer a 30-day price guarantee. I just wanted my $50 back.

I live 3 hours away, so a 6-hour drive to get my $50 back in person makes no sense.

A week later, with online chats and emails sent, but no refund. NO STORE numbers are listed anywhere on their site. Their automated email on their site is down. (I tried two browsers.) I received another email from the online chat—no response from it yet.

However, since I checked the price of the monitor a couple of times now, I get an email at least once, if not twice a day, asking me if "I'm still interested in buying the monitor!"

I'm at the point where if a human, any human who works for them, were to call or write me and say, "We're keeping your money!" I'd actually be happy.

Update: after leaving numerous reviews, I got a call, and my money for the price guarantee was refunded. Updated my stars to 3.

False Warranty Information

Bought a $1,800 high-end Lenovo laptop from Micro Center Mayfield Heights that was falsely advertised with a 90-day Lenovo warranty, same on the store receipt. However, the vendor warranty was already expired at the time of purchase. I only discovered this after the motherboard failed in less than three years. I spoke with Customer Care and today with the store manager, yet neither took responsibility for the misinformation. Lenovo confirmed the warranty was expired. Very disappointing. Customers deserve accurate product details.

Not even worth 1 star

Not even worth 1 star. This company may work for local walk-in shopping, but it’s terrible for e-commerce. I purchased a TP-Link router that was supposed to support VPN, but it simply does not work. Technical support (outsourced to the Philippines) had no clue how to resolve the issue.

When I requested a return, Micro Center said:

“All shipping charges must be prepaid, and the shipment must be insured for the total value of the merchandise being returned.”

On top of that, they wanted to charge me an extra $49 just to configure anything beyond basic internet connectivity. So between bad hardware, useless support, and nickel-and-diming customers, this was an absolute waste of time and money.

I bought a new computer and needed data transferred.

I bought a new computer and need all the data from from the old computer transferred to the new computer. Initially there were some glitches. But a qualified technician at the store fixed some of them. The GM then had a technincian from Micro Center Prioority Care + contact me. That technician was also very capable and resolved all remaining issues. I was extremely pleased with the customer service that I received. SKIP MARTIN

Horrible customer service for online orders. Website has issues, customer service is disjointed and unreliable. stock information is inaccurate. Wasted my time, I would not recommend them for any online or phone orders.

Repair service is a waste of time and money.

Took my asus laptop in due to the screen messing up intermittently. After a diagnostic was told my OS needed reimaged. Got it home after $350.00 and quickly had the same issue. Complete waste of time and money. Go elsewhere.

Micro Center is a pc powerhouse

Micro Center is a pc powerhouse. Combining fast, effective repairs to actual recommendations for lsptop replacements from experienced staff is unheard off.
They offer technical support for their customers and other information to extend the relationship. It’s a great place in Mayfield Heights, OH.

Best in the Biz

I recently visited Micro Center to purchase a new pre-built system.
I never really got into the specific specs or components to PCs so I'm relatively new to the tech world at this level, but one of the techs inside gave me a down-to-earth talk and went over what I needed with me. No fluff about getting the "best of the best" specs, but a simple explanation and a couple of questions about what I'd be using it for, what kind of games I play normally and what to expect out of the options he laid before me. Super helpful and couldn't have asked for better customer service. 5/5 stars to me at least. Thank you, Jorge!

Highly disappointed in micro center…

Highly disappointed in micro center bought an Bambu Lab H2D full laser combo from them come to find out that the laser doesn’t come with it they said it would be another $350.00 for a 10w laser. They advertised it as a full laser combo which means the laser should come with it. You guys should have made it right or offered a discounted price now have to return it so I guess someone gonna get a deal on a used printer with several hrs on it.

I know there are fewer & fewer options…

I know there are fewer & fewer options around for electronics, but don't give up and go to this s***hole. Abysmal customer service. YOU ABSOLUTELY CANNOT speak with the sales rep who might've helped you in-store, because they WILL NOT give out numbers for specific store locations. This is silly af. You have to call the national number, and they will always tell you they can call the specific store themselves but this a distraction, a lie. In five tries over a week, even they could not get through. Then, you have to wait 24 hours for someone to call you back. And then there was another problem with the POS they gave me, so I have to call again, wait for them to call the store, no be able to, and again I have to wait a full 24 hours for a callback. Good luck being available whenever they decide to call. You cannot speak to the same person twice.
Also, they gave me the TV that was the WRONG BRAND, HAD NO MANUAL OR INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED, AND WAS MISSING MULTIPLE NECESSARY PARTS. I spent a full week trying to get their... I guess you'd call it "support", with no progress. I've wasted hours on the phone with them (at least a full work day). Sigh.
I will NEVER shop here again. And neither should you. Unfortunately, your best option is Amazon. Micro Center is a cesspool of unknowledgable doofuses who are only good at getting your money, but then when there are many, many different kinds of problems with your purchase, they simply delay, delay, delay, and at no point along the way was I offered any real assistance.
Negative 10 stars. They've caused me so much aggravation I hope they go bankrupt

Seems like a scam operation

Seems like a scam operation. I had a microcenter water cooled OC, with a sticking fan, MC told me it was $50 to open the PC and $30.00 for the fan. Right away, I got a text telling me it needed $499.99 to unnecessarikly clean the water and refill it , which I declined and they stopped responding to me.

If I could leave half a star I would

If I could leave half a star I would. I purchased a new computer in January 25 in anticipation of some of the classes I would be taking to obtain my masters. Right out the gate there were issues. I took the computer back at the end of June as I was not aware of the full extent of the issues. ( I used an old lap top in the interim). Well as it turned out I needed a new motherboard.
I was not given a time when the repairs would be complete and I had to purchase another computer to do my school assignments as my new classes required the use of a desktop.
I was finally told to pick up the computer last Sunday evening.
When I went in I stood around waiting without acknowledgment. No one said just give us a minute we will be right with you. Nothing. I could go on. But these people are poorly trained in customer service to say the least. In the future when someone ask me about purchasing a computer from micro-center, I will tell them to purchase elsewhere even if they have to pay more.

Build NO PC HERE!!

I dropped my power supply off which I owned and had a news Gaming PC built around it. After eight days I picked the computer up and since we were on vacation in Georgia it took a while to drive back down to Florida and set it up.

Gaming has been a nightmare since I started it up.
SHOCKING FACTS AHEAD.

I payed for the build on April 22, 2025. We were on vacation near Duluth, Georgia so I decided to use MicroCenter in Duluth. After travelling back to Florida I set up the computer and DISCOVERED THE FOLLOWING: The computer is a total mess when it tries to run any games. Witcher 3, Assassin's creed games, GTA V etc. All crashed to desktop or froze.

It is now July 2nd 2025 and the windows EVENT VIEWER reported 2761 errors and warnings since they started the build on April 22, 2025.

I don't believe they are reliable at all and they will probably will deny everything. If I were nasty I would take the event viewer log as court evidence but capitalism has ruined any freedom buyers have regarding their purchases.

I would never go back to microcenter for anything, let alone trust them to build a PC. I believe they knew I was driving back to Florida

Absolutely Horrible Customer Service

Absolutely Horrible Customer Service – Will Never Return

I visited this store for the first time, and thanks to Danny W., it will also be my last. From the moment I asked for help, he was dismissive, disrespectful, and outright contradictory in everything he said. I came in with a simple question, and instead of offering assistance, he made me feel like I was wasting his time. His tone was rude, his attitude unprofessional, and he clearly had zero interest in helping a new customer. It’s beyond me how someone like that is allowed to represent any business. If this is how they treat first-time customers, I’d hate to see how they treat regulars. Stay far away.

I paid $1500 for this MSI laptop and it…

I paid $1500 for this MSI laptop and it was a complete waste of money. It never ran great, not even on day one. It was slow right out of the box. Boot times were long, apps lagged, and the performance never matched the specs they advertised. I thought maybe it needed updates or tweaks but nothing helped.

After three months it got even worse. It started freezing during basic tasks like browsing or watching videos. The fan became insanely loud even when doing nothing. The laptop would heat up just opening normal apps. It felt like I bought a cheap laptop for double the price.

Now after nine months it’s basically useless. I can’t play any games without it overheating or crashing. It opens slow, runs loud, and struggles with everything. I’ve never been this disappointed with a tech product in my life.

MSI really let me down. $1500 for something that performs worse than a $600 laptop. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Avoid this brand completely.

Bought HP Laptop at Micro Center: Not the Best Experience!

I bought an HP laptop, and nothing about it worked right out of the box. I had to reprogram the entire touchpad just to make it usable. There was no one-click right-click, the scrolling was completely broken, and the font size was set to less than 100%, making everything unreadable by default.

I had to dig through settings just to get basic functionality working — things that should’ve been correct on a brand-new computer.

The previous HP laptop I bought had audio issues that made it impossible to use for meetings. Even Microsoft support tried to fix it remotely — it worked temporarily, then broke again. HP’s own support is useless, and their website only gives you “filter drivers” with no actual control panel or customization options.

I bought this from Micro Center, and to make things worse, there’s no way to call the store directly for help. You’re on your own.

This was a complete waste of time and money. Do not buy HP, and don’t expect Micro Center to back you up when the product fails.
