Microsoft subscription admin is a joke
All this Microsoft subscription stuff gets more and more complicated each year. Waste hours of time each year re-activating accounts through the minefield of admin accounts and screens. Think we will need to seriously start looking for alternatives like open office or moving to iOS. Please sort this out Microsoft. This day and age all this should be getting simpler not more complex.
One person very pleased with Windows 11
Despite some professionals advising not to install WIndows 11 (I read the reviews after installation) I have been pleasantly surprised. When first advised it was available for me to download, I accidenly pressed the Pause button and that created a problem. As it was my fault I started again and the download and installation worked well. I was keen to ensure that the Money program would still work, and it did. Initially the program seemed very slow, but after 2 updates the speed has improved and seems better than version 10. The only other issue was when using Opera. Most of the pictures for the icons were whited out but after using the reload facility it has worked well. As with my car ownership, if it does what I want that is not an issue and, for me, version 11 is working very well
Ridiculous
Ridiculous! Purchased Microsoft 365/ Office over 2 yrs ago. The Word app keeps putting big line spaces between every single line. I have been typing on support for over 3 hrs and have requested to escalate complaint and call me at least 8 times now but agent refused each time. I told her I cannot type any more due to repetitive strain in hand from typing the same info for over 3hrs but they still refused to call me. Quoted The Consumer Credit Act but I am still ignored. They will not escalate a complaint or call me! Not first time I have contacted support about this issue. I have provided receipts, login info and Apple Store proof of purchase. MS support cannot fix this, even when I use Word online free version or another app I remove the line spaces and save the doc but when I open up the doc in Word full paid version the line spacing is back. There is no way for me to resolve this and MS cannot fix either. I purchased product in faith with LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION and did not expect ongoing tech glitches throughout the first 2 yrs. The Consumer Rights Act - "Consumers are entitled to a repair or replacement if the digital content is faulty and even compensation if other downloads or devices are affected". MS ignored this. Apple will not refund me as purchased over 2 yrs ago but this was 'lifetime subscription' and I feel it is Microsoft's duty to help me under UK sales laws. The only other way for me to resolve this is through trading standards?? MORE TYPING MORE TIME! There is no longer a telephone number for Microsoft support and they refuse to contact me despite quoting UK consumer rights laws. My hand/ wrist is very painful from typing but they do not care just ignore me as there is no way to call them by phone anymore. Wasted enough of my time and caused me physical pain through ignorance, I only want to be able to use a simple software I purchased in faith - MICROSOFT PLEASE CONTACT ME.
15/12/21 UPDATE: Microsoft asked Trustpilot to remove my comments but still haven't contacted me, say's it all. I spent even more time sending proof to Trustpilot, my review is still here but no contact from Microsoft...
I am absolutely fed up with Microsoft…
I am absolutely fed up with Microsoft Windows 10 as when ever you delete pictures they all come back again and again. Then they have the audacity to say your ICloud is full and you need to buy more data space. I was told Windows Vista was poor and you need Windows 10 and other things like Norton did not do updates anymore. Well it is the worst thing I have ever done was to buy a new computer which you are forced into, and I wish I still had Windows Vista which I understood and worked correctly.

One month later I find they have taken £79.99
There is no record of my cancellation because it was done within there website and not by Email

Stress
These cowboys, well they are American, should have every regulator in the world descend on them. They have a vortual monopoly - at least thank heavens Google are gradually getting their act together with the Chrome OS.
I have a lot of work to do and Microsoft has yet again randomly decided to do another update - most of their updates have little to do with security but adding ever more functionality, which I have no wish to use. My computer, operating on a reasonable intel i3 chip, has now been out of action for over 2 hours whilst the latest update grinds through. Heaven knows when it will be back with us.
It is time people starting sueing these US cowboys for serious stress and blood pressure.
Totally unacceptable performance which does not even deserve one star
Microsoft is becoming a propaganda enterprise loosing its advantages on technological/technological ones
In my language we have a motto saying, "Customer is king" promoting that customer experience is the most important and will generate enterprise grows. Unfortunately, Microsoft has a quasi-monopole on several topics regarding informatics (fundamental software as Windows and office...) and is becoming preponderant in other informatic fields such as professional networks (Linkedin...) and mail (Hotmail...). As of today, Microsoft software are very degrading, trying to get political/ideological power rather to giving best software. As an Engineer, I find it very sad because we lose in technological related subject, productivity and separation of power (My dear Luther...) over political ones. For example, I have been intimidated/threatened on my own Hotmail and Linkedin (both from Microsoft) by radical religious/ethnic communities/individuals and It seems Microsoft does nothing to avoid that but rather let these perverse act and even erases traces of such acts. Unfortunately it is not my only bad experience with Microsoft. Today I am working on day to day basis with Microsoft office suite and sometimes they decrease my productivity in order to promote certain ideologies whereas it is an expensive suit ! (typically with its color based avatar and cloud function, that are respectively and unfortunately racialist and surveillance functions in my opinion. Although, as a worker and scientific my only concern is working with skilled and dedicated people in a confidential way). In conclusion, I think that Microsoft was full of technical innovation and improvement in the past but its software are becoming ideological promoting ones, loosing in qualities because of its monopole. I truly hope that one day genius peoples will obligate Microsoft to come back to its core value or giving a reliable technological alternatives to its software. Best regards Bill
They made halo kinda
They made halo, but thats really the only thing they got going for them. I dont like sea of thevies that much i think it is boring. They bought minecraft which is cool and i actually like the direction they are taking it. But other then that stuff. the company is very pretentious like apple. I went into one of there stores once and the dude kicked me out because when he asked me what i was doing i said i was just browsing. Guess you cant browse a Microsoft store. Spyware inside Operating System. I think the company is not very good

Windows is becoming more bloated every day, just switched to linux and it was eye opening.

"I'll Just BIN All My Computers Shall I, Microsoft?"
I've used Windows since 1996. I now build my own computers. I've used Windows 3.1 (a distant memory), Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows XP (excellent OS), Windows 7, Windows 8 (terrible OS), and Windows 10. I didn't actually use VISTA personally, but I couldn't possibly say what I think of it here!
Windows 10 is very good indeed (Four Stars)! I've never had it crash, never had a virus or malware (ever, on any version of Windows). But I thought it was to be the LAST Microsoft OS???
All three of my computers are NOT UPGRADEABLE to Windows 11, even though they all run Windows 10 very well, especially since upgrading the System drive to SSD!
"Remember folks, SSD for System, and 'Spinners' for mass data storage!"
I'm writing this Trustpilot Review on an Acer Laptop from 2008. When I've posted this review, I'll unplug it and toss it in the trash, shall I? It can go on the ever increasing pile of e-waste?
I'll also bin my self-built desktop, and my Dell Laptop too!
When Windows 10 support ends, I may consider building or buying a Windows 11 machine ....... Alternatively, I may just switch to Linux?
Thank you Microsoft, for consigning perfectly usable computers to the scrap heap! It's a brilliant move!
Windows 11 is NOT a "Free Upgrade" if you have to buy a new PC to use it!
This all smacks of forcing Windows users to buy new PC's, thus swelling the Microsoft coffers?
Grrr!!!

If you're considering buying the Microsoft Assure service, I suggest you spend the money on whisky, as you'll feel better and get the same service. It used to be good. Now you can't get the help you've paid for.
NEVER BUY A LAPTOP FROM THE MICROSOFT STORE
In 20 years of buying and using computers, this is hands-down the worst experience I've ever had.
Microsoft have provided me with a series of faulty devices, one device that simply didn't show up, and customer support that has been at best misleading and at worst rude and obstructive.
To summarise: I bought a brand new Surface Book 3, which had a graphics fault from the moment I received it. Microsoft told me it was fixable, so there was no need to return the device. After 30 days they conceded that it wasn't fixable and that I should therefore return it for a replacement.
However, my replacement device wasn't new, but refurbished. The charger was bashed and spattered with paint, and the lead wasn't even made by Microsoft. Msoft admitted they should have warned me I'd receive a refurbished device, but that this was their policy for all returns after 30 days.
Msoft were also adamant that their refurbished devices are as good as new. But in fact, my refurbished device had a fairly obvious flaw: the screen wouldn't detach from the base.
So yet again, I had to get another (refurbished) replacement. And this time the device... simply never showed up. I immediately told Microsoft, was repeatedly assured that they were looking into it and that someone would call back.
Almost two weeks later, and no one has called back. I have no Surface Book - new or refurbished, working or faulty - and every time I call Microsoft the call conveniently drops (and no one calls me back), or I'm promised someone will call me back - and they don't.
I've wasted hours (in total days) of my time, chatting to tech support, being bounced from one phoneline to another, writing complaints that no one bothers to respond to...
This was the most expensive computer I ever bought. But to date - months later - Microsoft haven't provided me with a fully working device. I've spent weeks now without any laptop whatsoever.
Next time, I'll buy an Apple.
Can't upgrade because of a major Microsoft blunder
I have a perfectly serviceable desktop running the latest version of Windows 10. I've used Windows for too many years to remember and subscribe to Office 365 among other Microsoft services. I have always upgraded to the latest versions and this, over the years has cost me fortune.
I now find I can't upgrade to Windows 11 unless I buy a new computer. I cannot say how annoyed I am with this. I am going to buy a new computer but it will never ever use any Microsoft product. This upgrade is an absolute disgrace and the appalling, arrogant attitude of Microsoft is simply beyond belief.
Have Microsoft bought a share of Apple, or have they decided to simply decide to commit commercial suicide. Goodbye Microsoft.
0ffice 365 nightmare
Purchased on recurring subscription office 365. My laptop died, so I purchased a new one. I then tried to log in to Microsoft to reinstall it but forgot my password.. OMG!!!!
Trying to get any of the moronic online help to actually help let alone talk to one is physically impossible. So I have a subscription I cannot access to reload or cancel. I now have to pay on a different card and cancel the old one to stop future payments.
Thanks Microsoft for taking my money for years and Stuff all help when I need it most.
I guess that's the American way, take the money and stuff the customer!!!!!
Wish I purchased an Apple mac now!
Microsoft in 2021... about as useful as a water pistol for putting out a forest fire.
So, still midway through the year 2021, we have a continuation of the inexplicable phenomena that is how the big tech conglomerates offer some of the worst customer service experiences known to man. And appear not to give a the tiniest rodent's anus about it, either! After speaking to multiple "people" (that's in inverted commas because frankly, they may as well be bots) on the phone and on chat, from what appeared to be various regions of the world, they don't even know about the very basic of services that Microsoft allegedly provides, such as Microsoft Merchant Center or Bing Ads in the UK.

Microsoft contact
I have had three payments taken from my paypal account of 79.99 plus a couple of 7.99 and a couple at 79p over a couple of weeks, in the name of Microsoft. I have not been able to get a satisfactory answer as to what this was. whether it is a mistaken charge as I have no goods or services from microsoft, or even confirming it is some kind of scam and nothing to do with them.
i need the information to address this with paypal.
