Don't buy into the paid promoters
Received a knife for Christmas. 12/25/2024. Knife had a date code of 04/2021. This knife has been sold out most the time and stock goes out quick. Wife found it before Christmas so she bought it for me. Opened knife and first noticed some slight use marks on the blade. Blade was fairly dull as well. Try to fire it and it has a terrible grinding then hangs up right before blade deploys (this is an otf) and even worse hang up when trying to retract. Using 2 finger accomplish 200 actuation to try to break it in. Thumb is black from some type of debris while doing so. Knife is then blown clean and relubed with otf oil. I have 6 other otf from 4 manufacturers. Been edc otf knives for years. But this microtech experience has been terrible. Definitely won't recommend thier knives. 3 emails have been sent to microtech over the last 2 weeks now. No responses other than automated responses. I bought into the hype of best knives and service. So far 0 for 2 for microtech. Of the now 5 brands I own I'll be buying from Axial knives as a preferred brand followed by Kershaw and hogue. These three have superior service after purchase and better quality right out of the box. Axial being the best of all 5 brands in quality for under $400 range. If youre considering microtech don't buy into the hype and paid youtubers, read forums and ask real users. You'll see a trend, I learned the hard way. Avoid microtech knives
