Microworkers

is a well-known micro-freelance platform that has been used by individuals and companies for years. There is no reliable evidence that it directly "steals information," but like any online work platform, it needs to be used with caution.

Key Points:

* Do not share sensitive information such as passwords or bank card details within tasks.

* Some task providers may request unsafe or illegal activities, so read the details carefully before proceeding.

* Use a dedicated email address for cryptocurrencies and platforms if possible.

* Enable two-step verification for your important accounts.

* Check task and employer ratings before starting.

Generally, the platform itself is not considered a popular scam site, but there are complaints about:

* Occasional job rejections or delayed payments.

* Low-paying tasks.

* Some suspicious requests from task publishers.

If you use it carefully and do not share your sensitive data, it is usually relatively safe for simple online work.

Alocation Task System

Making money on this platform is actually pretty easy, but their task allocation system is terrible. If you ever encounter the message:

> "Error:TTVSlot-E0001: Sorry but all positions for this job have been submitted or locked."

right after clicking “accept task,” that’s exactly where the problem lies. You can clearly see 2–4 tasks still listed as available, but when you try to work on them, their flawed system won’t allow you to.

Just think about it: the pay is already not that great, we have to complete the tasks ourselves, so why even have a task allocation system? Isn’t that ridiculous? All it does is make things harder for workers. Their contribution in helping users is basically zero.

My account was suddenly terminated for spamming

My account was suddenly terminated for no real reason. No warnings or investigation – just an instant ban. Support never replies. On top of that, many tasks are shady. Some links can lead to infected pages, so you're literally risking your PC with malware. If you're a student looking for honest work, avoid this platform.

One of the worst.

I’ve worked on several freelance websites, and I can honestly say this is one of the worst I’ve ever tried. The tasks are complicated and unnecessarily long, and the amount of proof required for such trivial jobs is ridiculous. On top of that, the proofs have to be submitted through external websites, sometimes up to six proofs for a single simple task.

What makes it even worse is the unrealistic time limits. A task that minimum time takes about 10 minutes to complete is given exactly 10 minutes as a deadline — without accounting for the time it takes to upload all the external proofs. That’s simply absurd. The platform should limit the number of proofs required to 2–3 at most, and provide at least 5–10 minutes more than the minimum time needed to finish the task.

On top of that, there are plenty of jobs that are already full but still displayed as available! This is misleading and wastes our time. And also, you should strictly forbid clients from asking workers to submit proofs through external websites. That practice is unsafe, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary.

Top websites for freelancer

I have been participating in making money on microworkers for almost a year. It helps me earn a little extra income in my free time. This website is very reputable. I know about it through Youtube channels. How wonderful. If you work hard and try your best, you will receive a suitable salary. Give 5 stars for this reputation.

Stay far away!!!!!!

This website is a scam and rated F on BBB. They try to steal your SSN and IDs. Most of their links for "job" are scams trying to steal your info and download dangerous apps. When you complain to them they just threaten to kick you off. I filed a complaint with the FTC and AG office so they can get shut down.

Microworkers is a complete scam.

Microworkers is a complete scam.
They exploit users by making them perform extremely underpaid tasks, some of which are borderline illegal.
The platform acts like a black market for fake reviews, fake clicks, account manipulations, and violations of major platforms' policies.

My account was terminated without any valid reason, and my balance was stolen. There is no protection for workers, no transparency, and no respect for users.

Microworkers is not a legitimate platform — it is an exploitation network hiding behind "microtasks".
Stay away if you value your time and your money.

Shameful behavior. This company should not even exist.

I'm in my tenth year with Microworkers and I'm very satisfied. Sure, you won't get rich, but over time the amounts add up, and I've always received my money on time. They're small tasks, and I enjoy doing them, and you earn money. I'll stick with it.

After a long time of working since 2020, I finally managed to collect $10. When I requested a withdrawal and submitted my KYC, the admin told me that my date of birth was incorrect. Now they’re asking me to delete my account and create a new one.

This is clearly a huge scam!

Tried to make a thing, was not expecting this dumpster fire of an interface.

The whole setup of this site is the worst thing I have ever seen. I can't speak for the worker side, because I honestly don't understand why anyone would even do these sorts of tasks for pennies- it's insulting. But as an employer, it's a disaster. I tried to run a campaign to get some quick sign up bonuses (hey, I was gonna pay people at least $1!), but I gave up because the UX is horrifically confusing. It's almost unbelievable how bad it is. Like, it was created by some creep who just enjoys making things complicated. They probably want attention and to feel like they're intelligent and needed, so they make every action on their site impossibly convoluted in a way that only they understand, so they can feel important and smarter than everyone when users are forced to rely on them for assistance. It should be a simple task just to create a campaign, but noooo. They have all these dumb templates that don't work and all these random error messages and things that pop up with no explanation. They make what should be an easy thing SO. FREAKING. HARD. I deposited $20 (meant to only do $10 but it charged me twice) but it's now been 2 days and I still haven't been able to successfully create a very basic job for people to sign up for a thing. I could ask support, but based on these reviews I shouldn't expect a response, and support shouldn't even be required for something as simple as this. Hopefully I will be able to withdraw my money out of this shitshow, because it's been a total waste of time.

Honest review about Microworkers

I have opened my account two years ago and until now I only have been able to make an irrisory amount. They actually pay for each micro-task you engage with, but most of its tasks are for dubious purposes, unethical. That's all I can say.

Microworkers: A Time-Sucking, Bullshit Factory"

"Microworkers: A Time-Sucking, Bullshit Factory"

Microworkers is the biggest waste of time since people tried to fix MySpace. They dangle these promising tasks in front of you like you're some desperate dog chasing scraps, but the second you accept one, surprise!,—the timer's already kicking your ass. They give you, what, one minute to read instructions longer than a damn novel? By the time you finish reading “Step 1,” your time’s up and you're left looking like a dumbass with nothing to show for it.

And that holding task crap? Oh, please. Jobs just sit there locked while you twiddle your thumbs like a fool. They should ditch that nonsense and learn from Sproutgigs (which still sucks, just slightly less) where the first to submit wins.
And that timer? Get rid of it. Period. There’s no reason to clock someone before they even have a chance to understand the task. What is this, a sprint race? Let people work at their own pace.

Oh, and while we’re at it, dump that holding task garbage too. Let the first person to submit get credit—simple as that.

Microworkers ain’t here to help you make money—they’re here to waste your life one ticking second at a time. If you want a platform that’s basically a rigged carnival game for pennies, be my guest. Otherwise, save your time and your dignity.
