Purchased two lovely salvias at the Wisley flower show. They are so happy in the garden full of flowers. My brothers dog managed to step on a stem. But it's lovely blue flowers have survived.

I cannot fault this company. They are so helpful and their customer service is excellent. I have worked in a Garden Centre for many years and so am very particular about buying plants for my own garden. I have a real passion for salvias. This year I bought three salvias ‘So cool pale blue’, from Middleton. The plants arrived in excellent condition and within days began to bloom! The colour is a beautiful blue and it is quite hard to get flowers in this shade, especially ones that flower throughout the summer. I don’t think you can do any better than this nursery. It really does pay to go to the specialists. Thank you Middleton …I shall be back!

You can really tell this is a family business that cares. The plants were top-notch and thriving right out of the box. Delivery was lightning quick and the packaging was secure. Plus, I got a personal note thanking me for my order – lovely touch.

Absolutely blown away by the quality of the plants I received! Each one was healthy, well-packaged, and clearly grown with care. Customer service answered my query within an hour, and the delivery was super fast. Can’t wait to order again!

I placed an order on 4th May. Payment was taken on the same day. I have not received my plants, I have contacted them through their contact us on line form. I have e mailed them asking when I can expect to receive my order. Still nothing from them.

I have ordered from Middleton nurseries a few times. The plants have always arrived well packaged and in good condition with good roots systems which have grown very quickly after being planted out or potted on.

The first order I placed a while ago was a little delayed, but looking back it was around RHS Chelsea - I think it took over 3 weeks to arrive. The other orders have been dispatched promptly.
I've just placed another order which I expect will arrive after Chelsea finishes in a few weeks.

Second salvia order from Middleton Plants, arrived promptly, good sized healthy plants. Well packed.

I received my Salvias within the time scale stated when I ordered. They arrived within 24hrs of sending and they were very well packaged. So all my plants were in excellent condition. So pleased, will use them again.

Placed an order and it said it will take 2 - 3 weeks to be delivered. Nothing heard for weeks. Then out of the blue, we arrived home one day to find that we had missed the DPD delivery after nearly 2 weeks. Found out later that we did receive an email saying delivery at 10am and this was sent on the same day at 8.24am. So missed that and had to go to the local PO to collect the next day. By that time, my 7 plants were dehydrated and some even had yellow leaves. Not sure if they'd survive. Fingers crossed.

Ordered 2 plants, not their speciality salvias, but scented eryssium, in 1litre pots. What arrived 3 weeks later were 2 spindly plantlets, both badly growing in 1 direction, clearly not having had enough light. I wasn’t happy & have bought healthier, more vigorous cuttings at the side of the road (which have all survived & are now healthy plants). I gave them the benefit of the doubt & planted anyway, thinking with care & tending, they would recover. No, they both died within 3 weeks. I’m sure this part could be attributed to me, but I’ve never experienced this with nursery bought plants. I tried to contact Middleton’s weeks ago, with photos, to express my dissatisfaction & have heard nothing. I’ll put this down to experience as Middleton’s aren’t interested.

Top quality plants,excellent customer sevice.
Ordered eight salvia plants,all nice plants and prompt delivery once ready for despatch. Plants coming in to flower 3 weeks after receipt,one variety of 3 plants was different to to what was ordered,contacted middletons who immediately despatched correct variety.all good,cannot fault.

Salvia x sylvestris I litre pots X 4
Salvia memorosa Bumblesky 9cm pots X 4

Total cost £70

I was informed that DPD would be in touch with me prior to delivery. The first delivery attempt was made Friday 23rd Jun and I got a message say Ooops we missed you and that since no special delivery arrangements had been made the plants would be delivered on Mon 26th. The hottest days of the year came and went and I awaited the delivery on the Monday. The delivery slot was between 14:05 and 15:05. The deadline came and no delivery, simply a short message on the tracking saying that the driver had been delayed. Ten minutes later, the driver drove into our road and by chance I was standing outside my house ready for the school run. The driver pulled up and ask my name, I told him and he went on to scan the barcode and deliver the box to the door. The issue I have is that as the driver pointed out, there was no door number on the addressed label! He said that if I had not been standing there, he would have had to take the parcel back to the depot.

I checked the label and took a photograph for my own records and sure enough the address was incomplete. This means that there could not have been a valid delivery attempt and they could not have missed me on the Friday.

The plants were in a terrible state, again I took photographs for my own benefit. I have seen better looking plants at the supermarket to be honest and the same size at a fraction of the price.

I am not happy.

I received my Salvia Pink Lips plant today. I’m thrilled with it, it’s a beautiful healthy plant and a wonderful colour. Extremely well packaged for delivery. Thank you.

Last summer I purchased some salvia from this company and I am extremely impressed with the quality and the hardiness of them as they are starting to come back to life.

The website was easy to navigate and had a great selection of salvias to choose from. I was able to find everything I needed for my garden and the ordering process was simple and straightforward.

I purchased several salvias from then in July 2022. They shipped them in the height of the heatwave; surprisingly they arrived none the worse.

The low rating is because the plants are in appalling shape. 2 litre pots came small, appearing to have been recently cut back. The 1 litre pots looked as if they were clinging to life, diminutive, pathetic and I wasn't happy with them at all.

UPDATE (December 2022): They did get in touch with me in July and refunded me and with an apology. Updated stars reflect their approach.
