My car insurance expires 12/30/24 and I was shopping around for a better rate. Called Mile Auto and spoke to Kelsi and she convinced me to give them a try. I will not only save lots of money with there plan, even more savings with fewer miles driving. Thank you Kelsi for your wonderful customer service skills. Your company fits my retirement lifestyle.

Heather was very informative and answered my questions without trying to sell me on Mile Auto. I did my own research and they are excellent for people that work from home and don’t drive everyday I have not and hope I never have too use the claims department , I would absolutely say give them a call and get a quote . Follow exactly was is in the contract and you will be very happy. I think the bad reviews come from people that just don’t understand the process . Try them and if you don’t like them change insurance carriers.
Kimberly from Atlanta provided excellent customer service and was very professional and knowledgeable regarding my needs for insurance. I had to make several changes including changing states, adding a car, and changing coverage details. Kimberly was able to quickly make these changes for me and took time to explain every detail regarding the changes. Outstanding customer service! I’m very impressed.
Kimberly Valdez.... was a great help and please get her to lead your team in customer care...
Mike auto is a great company with great rates. My customer service representative Kimberly was fantastic and helped me add a new car to my policy and the call took less than five minutes. That’s just good service. She addressed all of my needs promptly and efficiently.
I was slightly skeptical at first. Hold times were a bit long, but once Kimberly answered the phone I was blown away! She was amazing and getting my insurance to an amount I was comfortable with and explaining how the process works. If you don't drive your vehicle much this is the insurance you were looking for. Very flexible and very understanding company
They are inconsistent. First 6 months went great. They give you different excuses for overcharging you.
Don't be deceived by this company. They are NOT as cheap as you think. A lot of hidden fees. So let me tell you my story.
- Previously, I had insurance with Geico but I moved to a new state so they raised my rate to north of $100 per month.
- MileAuto quoted me $0.068 per mile, so $6.8 per 100 miles, let's say each month I drive 500 miles, so less than $40 per month, which is a pretty good deal huh?! Same coverage but half price! Sounds a pretty good deal. But no...
- On Day 1, I was already charged $250 and they say that's a one-time, fixed fee. So I think, hm, that's okay. Just a one-time fee. If I use them for 1 year, so, on average, it costs me just another $20 per month. If I use it for ~2 years, just $10 per month. Seem okay to me.
- But then after the 1st bill, I realize that they also charge me some nonsense fees like a Base Charge ($15), Installment fee ($3), Policy Admin fee ($7), Mileage Data Capture fee ($5)?? So total, I have to pay them ANOTHER fixed fee of $30....
--> So, on average, it's already 40+20+30 = $90 per month for just 500 miles --> It is NOT cheap as I though, in fact, it's pretty much same with Geico and Progressive
- That's not the end of story. Now, after 6 months, they come back to me and say I have to renew my insurance policy and they will charge me ANOTHER $300 fixed fee AGAIN!!! with them! I though that $250 that I already paid is a one-time fee and I would not be charged again! So that means, they charge me $250-$300 for EVERY 6 month. That being said, $50 fixed fee every month. Plus those nonsense fees around $30 above, I'm charged $80 per month even if I don't drive AT ALL. Assume that I drive 500 miles per month, that would add another $40. --> So, total $120 per month, which is MORE EXPENSIVE than Geico and Progressive.
- Thankfully, I am a careful driver, I didn't have any incident. But Mileauto is a fraud if you read other comments. They would never handle your requests and claimts.
STAY AWAY FROM THEM - THEY ARE NOT AS CHEAP AS YOU THINK
They quote me a very good rate monthly, and so I switched to this company for. I have been paying for mile auto my monthly premiums for four years and happy for the rate.. but then this accident happen and this is when I really felt cheated. I called claims department, during my initial call somebody answered and assured me they’ll take care of things, he gave me his personal phone number so I can contact directly for any issues. But then days and weeks later, nothing. I followed up/called and left voice messages to that phone number and even called Mile Auto Claims, nobody answered. If you call billing department, great customer services though very courteous staff, but when get forwarded to claims department, that’s it hanging dry.. I was not satisfied because is when we have problems like accident that we need insurance to take effect and takes care of our coverage,, but they did not really take action or do what they promise to do.. Insurance coverage is an agreement that I pay my monthly due and they will cover any damages if an incident happens.. but Im so disappointed when they did not do their part… I was happy paying monthly low rates but now realized what a big mistake.. They are not truly there when you are in accident… It seems like a one sided deal, they take my monthly payments diligently but when it is time for me to ask them to take care of my accident the jsut disappear.. so annoying.. I never had accident, and this was my first time in 25 years… i learned my lesson, “you do get what you pay for”. I am looking for new auto insurance, but their rate is still very tempting low. With my experience with them, i could not trust Mile Auto. I feel betrayed, i paid my part of the agreement and they did not do theirs. I am still looking for other insurance.
We have had Mile Auto since March 2024 on 3 cars. I like the price which is much less than USAA. We haven't had any claims, so I cannot comment on that. I called once to update my payment information and the call was picked up quickly and handled right away. The man who answered was very pleasant.
I just wanted to let someone know how helpful and Patient your Customer Service Representative was with me. Her name is Heather. She was SO Attentive and Understanding to my needs. God Bless Her. I prayed before calling your number because I didn't know what else I could do. Then she answered my prayer. I wish there were more C/S Reps. Out There who actually cares about the Customer. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
Could not even get a quote that didn't keep going up. Sara never sent her final one. My TQ trust quotient of this group is 0.
I t was embarrassing
Heather went above and beyond to troubleshoot and resolve a compounding issue that had been stressing me out for weeks. I was having a hard time getting through to a live human being, but once I made my way to Heather, she took excellent care of me and did so with considerable grace and empathy.
The way she handled my case absolutely showcased her genuine care for my concerns and experience. At a time when many customer support agents are being pressured to close out cases quickly, whether they were completely resolved or not, it meant a lot that she reached out after our call to follow up about the issue and resolution.
Heather has a great attitude, a solid work ethic, and the kind of customer empathy that makes her an incredible asset to the MileAuto team. Someone please give this girl a raise!
Mile auto provides auto coverage at an affordable price! Luckily i was paired with Kimberly who made everything simple and easy to understand! I’ll definitely be joining the mile auto team, soon thanks to her assistance! Thanks again Kimberly!
They cancelled my policy. They would not say why...anyway, I went through a check point and showed my insurance had expired. No one at mile auto could tell me why. I received a traffic ticket for no insurance and my car was towed and together it cost me $500...Just talked to a guy in customer no service and he basically hung up on me! Stay away from this company..
Heather is so nice each time I call. I am thinking about purchasing a car and she was very nice explaining me the coverage and also was able to explain the renewal. I am very happy with mile auto because I only drive local to work.
This insurance is a nightmare! They didn’t report that I had insurance so I show a lapse in coverage for months and can’t get another policy. I’m trying to get it fixed. The customer service is horrible. Dropped calls and very rude. I can’t wait to get away from this insurance company. I can’t get other insurance until my coverage is updated with the state.
ONE WORD “IT IS A DOG SH….” DONT WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING THEM.
I got this so-called insurance because I am a Senior Citizen and sadly have to have Insurance according to STATE LAWS that are out in place to rip off the public( Major RIPOFF) even though I do not DRIVE anywhere due to working from home. I started out paying $24.00 a month ' and then after 6 months they raised it to $30.00 a month...Get this, same Odometer number and more money..What a rip-off as usual. I tried to call today, to see why I didn't get my renewal information , and was told I was cancelled due to another Insurance Company has bought them out..Oh and that after being hung up on numerous times and rudely spoken to by one of the claims people ( female) and talking to me like I am so kind of MORON.Not Appreciated at all. I say never ever deal with this SO called Insurance people..Reminds me of a "Bait and Switch" Company..Or an elaborate Ponzi Scheme to screw you out of your money.
I have always been able to reach someone. I was sideswiped by a driver. Trying to go around me at a stop sign. She accelerated and totaled my car. No License and no insurance. I called from the scene of the accident. They followed up with me with an email. Explained the process. Gave me the adjusters name and number.
They picked up my car. The only thing is. The towing company damaged my backseat with parts. So I would recommend taking pictures of your car. They were going to deduct $$_My car was in new condition. They corrected that. A reasonable payoff to my lender was sent via USPS. Problem with mail? I called. They overnighted a new payoff so I wouldn't get a 30 day late.
One statement was wrong on my odometer reading. Listed more miles than I had driven? I called. Proved an error. It was corrected. My milage was 122k. Statement 125k? The amount per mile wasn't the same. Just pay attention to your statement and odometer correctness. You have pictures from the previous month. Odd about that. The Customer Service people are the nicest to deal with. The issues were resolved. Just being calm and explaining things works both ways ☺️
