I came to the front desk at LAX and tried to pick up my car, then I realised there was a problem with my drivers license. The guy gave me no guidence on how to be refunded for the service not being used.

We had a terrible experience with miles car rental trying to sort out an unfortunate travel experience with agent ANDREA. My friend's fiancé called the customer service line to go over options for our rental as it was booked in my friends name and her flight was delayed then changed to the next day. We needed to see our options for possibly changing the driver's name or the pickup time (without asking for a refund or to be reimbursed.....we would have even paid extra, we just wanted to keep the booking). My friend's fiancé gave her his phone number and when she repeated it we heard a number different from his actual contact so we kindly said oh its "XXXX" to which she RUDELY responded "thats what I said" in a nasty tone. She was very rude from she answered the phone and was snappy throughout the conversation. Towards the end she even rushed us off the phone saying "Well I've already told you what I can do" when we asked a simple question in follow up to her ONE suggested solution. If it wasn't for Laura Vargas' extremely professional and nice customer service in the past this would be the last time I recommend people to book or even book myself with MCR whom I've had SEVERAL previous bookings with. Very disappointed in the customer service received today during a time of unfortunate crisis from ANDREA!
Update: MCR reached out and offered their sincerest apologies and swiftly remedied the situation. My friend received a full refund and an apology as well. Their customer service is unmatched and this is what I am used to from them. A big thank you to Maria Heredia for all of her help and her kind words!

I tried making a reservation. I think I put my credit card information in wrong, but it never told me. I cancelled it and was able to get a confirmation the second time. I wish it had come back and told me right away instead of making me hang and wait.

I came on your site to reserve a rental…
I came on your site to reserve a rental car from Dollar rental at LaX...your company charged my debit card $253 without informing me in print that I would not be able to rent the car with Dollar with a debit card! Once I called customer service I was told that if I cancel I would be charged 20%! I wasn't trying to cancel because I didn't want to rent the car but the rules with Dollar doesn't allow you to rent a car at LAX without having a return flight ticket. Therefore based on your company did not inform me that I could not rent a car with Dollar before charging my debit card for the reservation you can't penalize me for cancellation! I would like every penny of my money back! Based on when I went to Dollar to still try and rent the car they informed me of their policy and it was in writing on their site and in print but that info. Was not accessible on your site! So can you please refund my full amount of $253???This practice of your company penalizing customers 20% for forced cancellation is an illegal practice!!!

Miles actually helped with my problems!
I had originally wrote a bad review because I thought Miles was at fault for the car booking catastrophe we had. Turned out it was just the car rental company they work with. Miles car rental actually took time to try to help me fix things. This is the first time any online service has actually done some work and made a satisfied customer. I'll use miles again but just make sure you don't book with thrifty through them.
