Worst bank evert dealt with

Worst bank evert dealt with. Opening business account took 4 trips back to the branch. They are incredibly slow and have to "verify" everything a hundred times. Unsure how they can justify having people working there that get paid by the hour. This is a dying bank and should be dead sooner than later, because it is serving no living organism on this planet.

Today I had a great customer service…

Today I had a great customer service experience at the Millennium Bank office on the Rotunda in Boavista. Rua Silva provided great service and resolved a very complicated and frustrating matter of my account being used for fraudulent charges. He was reassuring and confident that the matter could be resolved and did so. I left the bank with a new replacement card in my hands and access to my account with the reassurance that the fraudulent charges will be removed following the investigation.

Absolutely horrible

Absolutely horrible. Do not do business with this bank under any circumstances. I literally have no access to my bank account, and nobody at the bank is willing or able to do anything about it. There's a problem with receiving the SMS on a US cell phone line. They don't know how to solve it. Lazy, uncaring, and incompetent personnel. You've been warned.

The Worst Experience With the Bank I've…

The Worst Experience With the Bank I've Ever Had!

My account has been "temporarily suspended" without any previous notice more than 2 weeks ago. I provided all the necessary documents on the next day, however it is still "In review". I received no replies on the status/progress of this review, the manager in the bank always telling lies that it'll be available tomorrow (again, 2 weeks has passed). I can't pay my bills, can't support my business and pretty much have been left with no funds to exist. I lost a lot of money just because compliance team can't do their job properly (you could review 30+ documents I provided to you in 1-2 days, not 14).
This bank will make you feel like a criminal, they don't care about customers and have no intention on leaving a positive impression.

That's the most frustrating experience I have ever had in my life and God knows how much longer I have to wait.

I regret so much I didn't read reviews…

I regret so much I didn't read reviews first. They are the worst bank I've seen. Everything is taking so long, with so many paper work, mistakes, processes, and such incompetent employees for the big majority. The online access is a real pain in the ***!!!

Horrible Bank

I opened an account with them about 1 year ago. I have used the account not more then 10 times. I get a call last week I come to visit my branca. When i show there they tell me they are gonna close my account without explanación. My account manager was is shock too for the treatment I was recieving too. I tried to present documents about my company but they wouldnt accept them. To refund 300 Euros I had in my bank account I they too 2 days. Horrible service dont open account with them.

Zero for Customer Service

They are fine if you never have a problem and do not ever need to talk to them. The customer service line from the UK stuckers you into going through the various options, and then cuts off the call every time after about 30 seconds. Another one of the companies nowadays that do not respect their customers. Time to close my account.

Huge mistake applying for a Millennium home loan

Unfortunately, 1 is the lowest ⭐️ I can give as this bank branch deserves 0. In applying for a home loan, I have received absolutely terrible service. The result of the bank’s negligence and lack of accountability is that I risk losing the full deposit on my loan. If you value your time and money, I 100% recommend choosing another bank. Please don’t make the same mistake I did in trusting Millennium Bank.

The worst bank ever

I have a Prestige account that comes with a “dedicated” manager. I have work and mobile number of my manager, WhatsApp, email and an in-app messaging tool. The manager hasn’t answer once in two weeks.

I cannot receive a debit card that is free on the Prestige account since October (almost 6 months).

My SEPA transfers are rejected without any explanation.

Left a complaint with Banco de Portugal. Don’t recommend ever using this “bank”.

IF I could rate them beow zero I woulf. They are horrible and refusing to help you from abrout. Problems with my multicannel code and they refuse to give knews ones due to privacy issues. Hello, we are 2021 and not all living in Portugal. Should avoid this bank.

Penny snatchers. Pathetic

The bank and its operation is excellent. HOWEVER... I lost my credit cards and was unable to put a temporary stop on them with the mobile app because that function doesnt work. I was obliged to call their number WHICH THEY CHARGE 13 cents MINUTE. Instead of every other card worldwide are free.

Next bad. They insisted I cancelled, because its impossible to place a temp hold. For this "service" they charge 20€ each. NO BANK VISA ever charges for such a service. NEVER!

Their answer is Plead with your account manager to try to cancel the charges .

Sadly this is a good bank but act like an almost desperate 3rd world bank grasping at pennies. I wonder how safe and solid their finances are if they re driven to penny snatch?

Conclusion : dont keep much money in the account, just in case they fail.

The worst bank I ever had

The worst bank I ever had! I change my phone number and after that I cannot have the codes and access to my account in the application. I call customer support many times and they annoying me, after I went to 3 different bank branches to find a solution and they didn’t gave me multichannel code. They said go to your home and will automatically to your phone, after they said your phone operator has problem. So many lies, I cannot control my own money. I cannot see my salary and pay my rent and do nothing to my own money! I don’t know what to do! Do not ever trust this bank or activo bank which is also from millennium!!!

Could I give no stars?

No bank in any modern society works as bad as MilleniumBDP.

They really haven’t grasped the context of keeping their overheads to a minimum by dealing with customers at the first point of contact so procedures that are simple to any other bank require hours of MilleniumBDP time telling customers they can’t help.

Classic scenario is that you ring from abroad for a simple procedure they won’t allow online and the customer support team say you have to come into a branch.

You explain again that you are not in Portugal and they just play dumb.

Ask for a complaint to be registered - no one ever contacts you to resolve the complaint.

Main services work, but there are always problems

I have been using this bank for about 6 years. It never caused me serious trouble, but smaller features and services never work well.

For example, the 3d secure transfer of money to a Revolut card fails half of the time. Then you wait and it works the next day or the day after (I kind of need the money now to go shopping, buy some food and water - so it's particularly annoying).

Listings of your spending and transaction are also bad. You get it on the website, but the interface is painful to use, let alone find something, especially if it is a couple years in the past.

Even such a small thing as placing the correct URL to their iOS app on their website! No, their link just does not work, it leads back to Millennium website instead of AppStore.

Probably, the bank is too busy handling all the regulation and accounting from Portugal/EU, so the clients are left behind.

FAKE BANKERS

PLEASE NOTE person called JOACKIM ALMEIDA and introducer MANUELA DINIZ are fake bankers offering you bank accounts in MILLENNIUM BCP in HQ in Lisbon. They will take your money and never come back. ALMEIDA is apparently working there, pretending to be nice and customer services but they charge you and they disappear.

Awful bank

Awful bank, on top of 8 EUR monthly maintenance fees, they charge some many commissions, for instance, 20 EUR to replace a credit card, 30 EUR commission charged when I received a 500 EUR international transfer.

Horrible customer service is the cherry on top.
