App failed again! North Somerset

Tried to use MiPermit at clevedon today with no success. Not the first time the app has failed me in North Somerset ! Ended up parking on a street nearby so at least I saved myself the fee.

From paper parking permits to digital ones, FAIL

Our council moved their parking to this company. At first I sent my details of residence and bought 10 guest parking tickets. Months later I went to buy more guest permits I cannot because they want more proof of residence, bank statements, utility bills, I have sent screen grabs and they get rejected. Who gets paper statements these days. Two friends have had £70 penalty charges because I cannot use guest tickets. Forget phoning them, email they answer after a week or so, with no practical help. A real shell of a company and what happens when Councils close parking shops and paper vouchers and pay these chancers to do the dirty work for them, abysmal.

Probable SCAM linked to this APP

With great difficulty I downloaded the app yesterday in the pouring rain. Yet another parking app. The confirmation process for the app was extremely confusing. As with the previous reviewer, my card was 'hijacked' by a company which appeared on my statement as 'nobodiesbill.com' with a value of £1 yesterday and £59.99 today !! Unfortunately I only noticed it today. The site nobodiesbill.com leads to another site in the name of Vine Tech Limited which does not appear to sell anything but gives instructions to 'cancel your subscription'. I do not want to risk giving them even more information by going through their cancellation process so I have asked my bank to follow up on it (and to get my £60.99 back!). MiPermit should check their software very carefully because it appears that somebody has inserted a link to another company at precisely the moment payment is supposed to be confirmed.

Hijacked by Original Plus

I googled the website to download the app and ended up being hijacked be another company called original plus. I believed I had signed up to park at Markeaton park then received an email welcoming me to my free trial for original plus, which I would need to cancel before one week or be charged £29.99 a month to access their services. When I tried to access the website again it didn’t exist. Luckily I chose the Apple Pay option which meant they can’t just access my bank account and I managed to unsubscribe on the web site I had visited before, also sent a follow up message to their customer service. Shouldn’t be so easy for the service to be hijacker’s in that way. Will always make sure I have the right change to pay cash in future.

Was linked to this via a parking meter in the peak district and thinking it was a parking app I signed up and entered info and was charged £1. The following day £60 was removed from my account. Have reported to my bank as scam and blocked the card. Beware!

If I could leave zero stars I would

If I could leave zero stars I would. Incredibly complicated to use and involves downloading the app. Get back from holiday and we have fraud on the card used to pay apple bills that are not us. Park somewhere else if they use this firm

Credit card fraud

After paying for parking in Colchester Leisure Centre using my credit card I thought all was well. I received a receipt text. Unfortunately my credit card was then used fraudulently to register with other car parking in Bristol and elsewhere. Thank you HSBC for blocking these transactions, but I now I have to wait for a new card.

Over complicated and unreliable.

Visited Bath who use this system. Spent more time trying to get a parking ticket than actually visiting Bath, well felt that way. If you don't have change prepare for a good hour working it out and getting it to work. Failed 5 times. Anyone elderly going? Don't bother. You won't have any chance working it out reading the instructions that go on forever. And VERY expensive. Literally will think twice about visiting Bath Purely because of the parking meter. Sad.

Visited Bath and went to the car park I have always used. It has gone over to MiPermit. I tried to pay in advance but would only let me sign up after I was in the car park. I arrived in the car park read the ridiculous instructions on the highly confusing board. Had 3 goes at logging in via the app each one failed, tried to register online but that crashed twice. After 2 tries I appeared to pay via the QR code. No response from the company no email and no receipt...so i assumed i had paid. This is a complete shambles. I have a degree in IT and could not work out the instructions from the board.....this is a shambles...puts me off visiting Bath!

Utter crud

Tried paying for parking by scanning the qr code in the car park. Went through the process, confirmed payment on my bank app then…..the mipermit app disappears! Did i pay? Didn’t I? For all I know, I’ve just paid 3 times trying to get confirmation. If you’re going to charge an arm and a leg for parking, wouldn’t it by nice if you had a ststem that worked. If I have paid 3 times I bet it’s not going to be easy getting my money back. Stressful, crap system.

Mipermit not fit for purpose.

I would not have given Mipermit any stars if I'd been able to.
The customer service is atrocious. I have MS with limited hand function , a phone but no computer. The woman I spoke to was so rude and upset me so much, then suddenly ended the call saying she'd given me too much time and she'd get into trouble with her boss.
The whole system is not fit for purpose. I have no renewal and no visitor permits.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. That they’ve won Bristol council contract is a disgrace - Bristol council obviously couldn’t care less about residents.

Software doesn’t work, not fit for purpose. Can’t get through to CS - incredibly provocative recorded message threatening calling the police - just the worst sort of monopoly behaviour.

Waste of 5 hours every renewal of residents permit or change. I would say avoid at all costs - but sadly for Bristolians we can’t.

Tried to use their app in Bath for parking. It kept saying my card was not valid but they still managed to charge me on my credit card for validation purposes three times. Wrote to them no answer, phoned them no answer. Why oh why does Bath City Council use this company for their parking charges!

App is awful

App is awful, shouldn't even have one star! Have been trying unsuccessfully to add our new car to my yearly permit so I can visit our local gym. I've logged out and back in, been through every available setting on the app, even re started my phone and am still unable to add the new reg. This app is not fit for purpose! Absolutely terrible

Firstly

Firstly - Hey UNtrustPilot how is it possible that MiPermit has 1.9 when there's 13 single start reviews!?

Now review:
MiPermit is like any useless council in UK:
1. They're first to charge you/fine you
2. It's impossible to contact them
3. I spend 4 days on the phone to their CS and NOTHING - same practice like Council mafia
4. When you call them and you choose OPTION 1 (pay fine) they answer their phone in less than 2 minutes - what a joke, right?
5. I called and chose OPTION 1 and told lady I'll be calling OPTION1 until their useless customer service answer my call - lady from Account helped with my issue NOT useless customer service.
6. MiPermit exactly like Council mafia won't take complaints... They have pretty clever autoattende pre-recorded message "If you're offensive we will terminated the call"

YOU HAVE TO ANSWER THE CALL IN ORDER TO TAKE OFFENSE !!!

I would never use MiPermit or any UK council if life wouldn't force me too....

-1/5 and this is for UNtrustPILOT - stop licking gov organisations as*** because they deserve 0/5

Mipermit nothing working

Park in a car park on the Gower near Swansea, had a nice walk. Then went back to the car and tried to pay, got to the machine there were about 6 people all looking lost. It turns out the machine cancels your ticket right at the end for the process, which it did to me three times. By this time there where 10 people stand there. So then I tried to SMS the ticket that didn't work, for anyone there. So some us download the app, again it would let you set the time of arrival. So by this times there where now more people trying desperately to pay. Tried calling help line again not open(Saturday evening) . So now I had been trying to pay £2.50 fo half hour. So I left saying call Monday sort the ticket out, to which I just tried. Mipermit do not let you pay past dated tickets, there system is wait for fine and challenge the fine al this for £2.50. Anyway on the way home we pulled in a pub for dinner they had a pay.car park luckily it used Ringo. App, 15 seconds later a had a email confirming parking payed, RINGO five stars MIPERMIT no stars

A few days later I had to park my car again, my heart sunk where I saw the Mipermit sign. Luckily someone was using the ticket machine, I asked how to use the machine. I had made a fundemental mistake. You buy your ticket on arrival and pay for a certain period Ha. So simple, to me and everyone at the machine, there where many signs in both English and Welsh, not one saying PAY ON ARRIVAL. What a wonderful way of raising fines, just enough signage to be legal, just not helpful !!!!!!

Wouldn't even give one star!

Wouldn't even give one star!
We visited Hunstanton yesterday and found we could not pay by cash or card. We then proceeded to send our information by text as instructed on the side of the machine but kept being told we had not entered the correct information (I have kept the text messages) Finally attempting to pay by phone the waiting time was horrendous and we were ready to drive home. As a couple in our 70's who are not really very tech savvy this really messed up our visit. We have visited Hunstanton many times in the past but this episode has seriously put us off visiting again, Why change the system, if it aint broke don't fix it!
