Avoid this jeweler at all costs! They are dishonest, unprofessional, and only care about making a sale. My husband purchased my engagement ring here, we wanted a diamond with a black ring. They told us that the black rings we were interested in wouldn’t work and instead convinced us to get a much more expensive gold ring coated in black, assuring us it would only need occasional, inexpensive maintenance.
The black coating chipped immediately, even though I almost never wore it to preserve it. When we brought it back before our wedding, they returned it in a rusty gray color. After complaining, they sent it elsewhere for repairs, and we didn’t get it back for over two months. It chipped again right away, and since it took so long the first time, we had no choice but to wear a hideous chipped ring in our wedding photos.
When we tried to have it fixed again, they told us we had to wait until after the holidays. They’ve now had it for over two months AGAIN and just informed us that they can’t fix it, offering only to turn it COPPER.
This has been a nightmare from start to finish. The staff has been rude, dismissive, and completely unwilling to take responsibility for their lies and incompetence. We spent almost $6,000 on this defective ring, and they refuse to offer any solution.
DO NOT SHOP HERE. They are scam artists who will tell you whatever you want to hear to make a sale, then leave you with a worthless, poorly-made product. Go anywhere else—this place deserves to go under. The people at Shane CO next door have already been miles more kind and helpful.
