Finding my precious diary was missing I…

Finding my precious diary was missing I called several places. After calling airports and airlines at midnight I reached missingx.com. When I received a message from missingx.com the following day telling me they found my diary I was so relieved and went to a airport to fetch it. It happened one month ago.

Woeful don't bother even trying to get…

Woeful don't bother even trying to get anything you lost on a UK train. It is a total disgrace. No customer service no care, no one to talk to. Give up get over it and pray these people lose something and have to use their own totally useless, faceless service

MissingX is a software provider that connects people who have lost items with lost property offices operated by train companies and other organizations. We don't handle the lost items ourselves or manage the customer service response times of these companies.
Each train company is responsible for managing their own lost property process, including responding to customers and arranging returns. If you haven't received a response from the train company regarding your lost item, we recommend contacting them directly as they handle all communication about found items.
We're continuously working to improve our software, but ultimately the response and service level depends on the lost property office of the specific train company you traveled with. If you'd like to share which train company you used, we may be able to provide more specific contact information to follow up directly with them.

Complete waste of time my bag was…

Complete waste of time my bag was logged as found I claimed it on missing X got a claim reference 2 weeks later and heard nothing no number to call pointless service it was better and quicker before the train companies moved to using this third party! how do I get my property back do I just drive to Waterloo in the hope that it's there this has to be the most inconvenient unhelpful lost property platform.

MissingX provides the software platform that connects lost property offices with people who've lost items, but we don't directly handle the items or control when train companies respond to claims. The actual processing of claims and communication with customers remains the responsibility of the train operator.
From your description, it sounds like you're dealing with a train company operating through Waterloo station. While I don't have direct access to their contact information, most train operators have dedicated lost property contact details on their website that would be more direct than driving there without confirmation.
If you'd like to share which specific train company you were traveling with, I'd be happy to try helping you find their direct lost property contact information. The claim reference you received is important - make sure to include this in any communication with them.
I appreciate your feedback about the system being less efficient than before. We're constantly working to improve, but ultimately the response time depends on the train company's own processes.

The Missing x services are useless

The Missing x services are useless. I feel they intentionally keep lost items and make money off of them from auctioning them off.

No one returns your messages. I had a tracker on my ipad that clearly showed that it was in the airports lost and found!

If you go to pickup yourself there is some hope. Only thing is that they charge you to pickup your lost item.

Total scam and waste of time

Waste of Time…

Listen I’m a student at Hagley Catholic High School and yesterday morning I lost my school bag on a West Midland Railway train to hagley and when I’ve gone on here nothing so far and no contact to me about a match despite my very specific details I wrote.Along with that about 2 months ago I lost my coat on West Midland Railway and when I checked for about a week on nothing had come up.Just don’t bother you most likely won’t find what you’ve lost and I’ve had a 0% success rate so unless my bag is returned with my important GCSE revision notes in then consider this review permanent.

Hi. I am sorry you have not heard anything from West Midland Railway. Regarding your school bag, it might take one or two more days before West Midland Railway registers and reviews the lost property registration you made.
MissingX is not handling the lost property ourselves. Each company is responsible for this individually, so only they will be able to review your registration, make the match, and return your property.

My experience with Missingx.com itself…

My experience with Missingx.com itself has not been a problem, but their use of UPS has severely impacted my experience. I have tried to find a way contact them to suggest they find a much better courier and this appears to be the only way hopefully they see this and act for their benefit. Because at a cost of £58 it was definitely Not value for money.

NO RESPONSE TO MY CLAIM

How long does it take to respond?? I lost my AirPods case on a train and it was listed on missingx. I have put in a claim and absolutely no response.
How do I even know if it’s mine if it takes forever to even get a match response?

The item is actually important, it’s something I need everyday.
Meanwhile no picks up the phone at the missing office station.

Can I get a response to my claim??!!!

I’m sure if you read my response, you’ll see I said I already filed a claim with the item they found and I was told I will be contacted. How long does it take to respond to an item that’s already been found?
I lost it on a train from Northampton to London. Information isn’t clear. There’s no timeline, no one to contact.
If the items wasn’t already found, then I’ll understand. But they already reported it found.
So what’s the delay???

MissingX is a software provider and does not handle lost property ourselves. Following up and responding to claims is the responsibility of each train company operator, in this case, Avanti West Coast or West Midlands Trains. I believe your complaint and review are better directed at the company responsible for responding, than the software provider.

I forgot my Ipad on flight with Norwegian

I forgot my Ipad on flight with Norwegian. Thanks to missingX, Hittegods Oslo Lufthavn and Norwegian, my property was found and the rest was perfectly organised and proceeded. It was easy to communicate and Bring delivered package in only one day.
Only one thing was difficult-to find serialnumber of my Ipad. I did not know how to do it, but got help with that from a family member.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful, I left my kids suitcase with all their clothes on the train, contacted the train company and told to use missing x, it doesn't work. It's a joke. Why don't they have a lost property room you can go to and get your stuff back. Outsourced to someone with a poor website making money from misery.
