No Show Salesman

Only gave one star because you couldn’t choose zero.
I made arrangements on three occasions to get a salesman to give me a quote for a new front door. On each occasion the salesman Mr Hall failed to turn up with no apology or explanation. I then went to Galashiels Glass and Glazing and they were fantastic.

I had some PVC windows fitted by Mitchell Glass. Jamie did a survey and although planning permission delayed things enormously, Lynne kept in touch. The job was then booked in and the windows were installed swiftly. They look brilliant and have made a big difference to the warmth in our house

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed, frustrating and unbelievably awful service received from Mitchell glass.
I paid deposit to MG in September 2020 to install aluminum windows and the entire project was dependent on receiving planning permission, which was part of my contract.
Communication exceptional poor, emails not answered, no follow up from staff, I even offered to contact council on their behalf as I was getting no information from MG, even a complaints letter left unanswered (was received as signed for) and only responded after 2nd complaint letter sent through their website.
Apart from the delays caused by the lockdowns, MG caused additional delays and after almost one year in August 2021 planning permissions refused by CEC. I found out on CEC planning portal not told by MG. MG said that I should appeal and i was sent the relevant forms to complete as I was told it would be "better coming from me", despite permissions being part of my costs and Edinburgh Council confirmed that they asked MG for more information and refused permission because that information was not provided by the deadline the council gave. MG breached our contractual agreement. Shocking customer care and service. I am now in a position that I have to source new company to do what MG should have done months ago.

Very poor customer service

Customer relation is very poor with no follow up evident. We have cancelled an order due to increasing cost at each clarification to the extent that up to date they have only sent a surveyor out to measure up, after the cancellation period. He advised we were not getting what we thought we were getting without further cost but they are withholding our 10% deposit. All subsequent emails and voicemails, bar one have, been ignored and we are unsure whether we will receive any of the deposit back.
